Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere. If so, I apologise. I picked up my membership scarf on Saturday and was surprised to see the colours. A Brisbane supporter, who was an "old" Fitzroy" member, commented to me that it reminded him of the old Fitzroy jumper colours. The more I looked at it, the more I thought the same. It's nice to have the membership scarf, but I think I will revert to my old stock, standard, Demons red and blue scarf for future games. As for the horns??????????............ the grand kids like 'em at least.

Yeah, I always trust the memory over 16 years of a supporter of an extinct club...

Not sure I get your point. Anyway, his memorabilia collection, which goes well beyond 16 years ago, is something he treasures at least. Sorry if I bored you.

You bumped into a Brisbane supporter on 'Saturday' ? What are the odds ?

;P

PS. I bumped into hundreds yesterday (Sunday).

Maybe the colours have faded.

Frankly, the scarves are acryllic and rubbish but a point of pride for the sake of being a member, I really don't see the issue of the colour and I couldn't care less.

That is just my opinion, I can understand fans wanting better quality scarves for their money, but I wonder whether they think the club could spend that money more wisely.

My only point relates to the colours. I couldn't give a fig, re quality. To me, they simply weren't MFC colours. What purports to be Red, is Maroon.

Fwiw, I think it's a nice blood red. Keeps you warm. And if the jam spills after a game - no one notices !

I think the red is better than in the recent past.

I don't believe the red we used to have was the fluro red that Essendon plays with.

Ours was blood red, with a blue slightly less severe than Black (to steal a Flanagan line).

The blue isn't great but Chinese factories aren't where they used to be...

My thoughts exactly, Iv'a, when I picked up the scarf at the Hawks match. It is very 'FITZROY' of old. I think it is because the red thread has been knitted in with the blue in production, thereby giving it the moroon touch. Have a closer look you people who thought I'va was dreaming. I too prefer not only the colours of previous scarves but also the design(s)

I think the new design looks good. I liked the fact that it was a different design because now I have a scarf that looks a bit different than the other 20 in the cupboard.

I don't mind the new scarves, and figured the change in colour was along the lines of the jumper changes.

They look good, and I don't have any prob with them, whether they appear to slightly maroon or not.

They do look like Fitzroy colours I was thinking the same thing three weeks ago.

Last two weeks have been using 2010 version it is much better

Let it slide because did not want to be seen bagging the MFC.

However it is nothing like the jumpers or the other merchandise on sale.

Get the feeling this is the one area the MFC cannot get control of i.e. our red Colour.

Seems to vary constantly garment to garment and year to year!

You may not remember 16 years ago but I and a lot of Fitzroy members do?

Also how come there is never a variation in the Essendon or Sydney red?

prefer previous years, the colours and quality are lacking IMO but at the end of the day it doesnt phase me

got my new gurnsey and reckon it looks more maroon than the one the lads wear on game day (maybe its the TV contrast?), but again im not overly fussed

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
