And he needs to get on the park soon!

Because another year like last year would not be be good for his future.

The competition is littered with players who would have been great if they were not constantly injured.

He was drafted just outside the first round when we picked him up. He'll be given a long time to prove himself.

3-4 years.

Too long BB!

If we have not seen something, anything by the end of 2012 it is all over for me.

How long do you support someone who cannot get onto the the Park.

They would want to be very very good to go beyond 3 years and even 2 years is testing my patience!

I dont expect much on Friday night, bails is clearly using it as atraining run and to test out the depth of the squad.

In his statement yesterday he said:

"We can only control what we can do at Melbourne and that is playing footy and ensuring that Friday night is a really good hit-out for us."

I presume hit out is something less than full steam ahead. I expect we will see a lot of those not in the regular 22.

Personally I applaud this as it gives them a chance to step up, doesn't expose players who we need to be fresh for the first game and consigns the NAB cup to its rightful place as being like the old inter club practices matches.

Anyone with some overwork needs to be rested from these games. Not surprised that Scully has knee soreness given the repoerts so far, he may need to slow it up a bit at training. More troubling in NJ's back I really hope its not a long term thing.

It would be a real shame if he can't get his body right with us and GWS snap him up at the end of next year and he becomes a star.

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock.     Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
