Hey Macca I already did them above on this page - Pittsburgh Patriots and Panthers

Steelers already down the gurgler, my tipping this year is horrific, last year I couldn't miss!

Ha! And I checked twice! I'm gettin' old ... actually, I'm already old looking for the elixir of youth. So where is it? Any clues?

So apart from DZ & Clint, we're all scrambling about for a solitary point! Damn you Pittsburg, damn you Rodgers!!

*Subject to gain 1 point with a Falcons victory against the 49ers (later today)

In the AFC, the 4 leading teams in each division ...

Colts, Broncos, Steelers, Patriots ... that's a throwback

But KC and the Bills are hovering

Long haul back for the Ravens though. Jags need to find their best form to challenge Indi

It's a lot tighter in the NFC although the Bucs look well placed in the South

The Eagles should be able to maintain their advantage in the East

Couple of good games tomorrow with a 3 hour starting time difference this time (not within time, spacing the 2 games)

Lions should prevail against Tampa but the game could be close

Seattle at home will be tough but Houston came into the season with decent expectations with CJ Stroud at QB

NFL Week 8 Game Picks (43 mins)

good first drive by the cowboys but had to settle for the field goal

Broncos cut through us on their first drive. Our defence is just way too porous. We're not going anywhere conceding 30-40 points every week.

Boys looked good at times but yeah need to tighten up a bit on D.
But I also think this is what the NFL wants high scoring games with all the rule changes.
Prob with that is if one teams score 24 and the other 48 instead of 17 -25 people turn off quicker as the game blows out.

Our offence is very good. Pickens and Lamb are a great WR combo, Williams gaining yards running the ball, DAK is a top drawer QB

but our defence is pretty much 32nd out of 32 teams. Even a half decent defence would make a big difference.

Yeah I agree with that.

I was stoked to see the Rams got a new Cornerback (Roger McCreary), being more used in the slot he might allow Lake to play more Safety.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Sunday’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
