If partaking in the post-season tipping comp, the games start tomorrow from 8.00am

We've got 4 starters so far so it should be a goer.  A post towards the top of this thread explains how it all works

Yep, same

Even the games involving Pittsburgh & Green Bay could be close because as we know, a punt or kick return, fumble or interception can lead to 7 or 8 points in rapid time

That's what makes the sport so interesting and why we see so many underdog victories

And we grow accustomed to the pace of the game with all the time-outs & other breaks in the games.  An acquired taste but the sport can be quite addictive

Not one road winner!

Is it payback time for the regular season comp JV?  haha

I'm warming up for a big Sunday of TV sport (mainly NFL) with the Socceroos @ India in a World cup qualifier (Ch10 main channel now - game starts at 10.30pm)

Sorry Macca I’ve been shocking with tips this year, just lost interest in this season. But excited for a great playoffs.

I can't say I blame you!

But we'll be making some changes to the comp next year to make it easier to score points and as for the Bears, they can come good on the back of some savvy recruiting etc etc.  You've got the no.1 pick acquired from Carolina so that's a good starting point

I had the Packers written off for a couple of years but things can turn around very quickly for teams in the NFL.  It's that sort of league

Coming up to half time and this is a fun game. Can the Browns get going again on both sides of the ball?
Stroud is next level and as much as I’ve loved Puka, Stroud will def be rookie of the year.

Stroud works perfectly for this system. If only Bryce Young had as much to work with.

Did not see that coming!!! Happy tho. 😃

Sounds a bit Mick Malthousey to me. Pete is a coach!

Flacco should have thrown that one away to the sidelines.  Very costly and it's  probably game over

I think he was trying but he just threw another pick 6, I’ll tune back in for the chiefs game

Well if he was attempting to throw the ball out of play, his radar was off by about 20 metres!

Heartbreaking performance for Browns fans. They've been smashed with injuries this year but was hoping for a fairytale Flacco run and a Balt/E AFCCG, not to be.

Texans very good and Singletary with a couple of good runs early opened the game up for them. Back to back pick 6s from Flacco and that's the ball game.

Bottled it. For a guy with experience you'd expect better.

DeMeco Ryans has proven to be a real head coach. Fixing up the Texans run defense in one season is extremely impressive.

Dolphins and Chiefs is going to be a banger and not as easy to pick as you'd think. Giving KC the edge because I do think Tua can go to water with pressure and Spagnuolo has been really good at calling 3rd down pressure plays.

it looks absolutely Baltic in Kansas. i'm glad i live in a warm climate.

holding onto the ball very difficult. lots of dropped catches.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
