Bills, Chiefs, 49ers

(Although I don't have huge faith in my 49ers, thought we were reasonably disappointing vs Arizona this week).

Vikings, 49ers, Chiefs

9ers, Ravens, Chiefs

A couple of youtube clips and the game listings again

Chiefs, Niners, Ravens.

Handy when you pick 3 of the best teams in football. Let's see how they stuff it up.

Ravens,  Saints,  Chiefs

Boy oh boy do the Falcons know how to blow a lead... Up 39-24 early in the 4th, on side kick recovery and that's all she wrote. What a pathetic organisation.

Falcons lead for 99.998 percent of the game -- exactly 59 minutes and 56 seconds.

Yeah I couldn’t believe it, I left for work and Falcons are up with minutes to go, check when at work and saw that score, I was as flabbergasted by that as by Ertz not getting 5 yards in the second half and screwing me over.

Some massive injuries in the NFL this week, niners copped 4, Bosa and Barkley from giants have suspected ACL injuries

Out for season: Saquon Barkley, Von Miller,Nick Bosa, Derwin James, Tavon Young, CJ Uzomah

- Will likely miss time: Christian McCaffrey Michael Thomas, Drew Lock, Jimmy Garoppolo, AJ Brown, Sterling Shepard

- Waiting on word: Courtland Sutton, Tyrod Taylor, Malik Hooker, Parris Campbell

The Falcons have lost their ever-loving mind. I was relying on game breaks with that one and had already written it down.

Absolute carnage. Especially in our game, just needed Bodies by Drowning Pool playing over the speakers and it would have been perfect.

That does us for me, Bosa turned our defense from average to excellent and genuine pass rushers often do. Can still win some games against some scrub teams but won't cut it against Seahawks or Rams.

Yeah that's right. Just signed Ziggy Ansah from his couch. Looks like we'll be having the year you guys had last year.

No pre-season has to have an impact on this.

Some excellent match-ups this week ... Rams @ Bills,  Dallas @ Seattle,  Packers @ Saints,  Chiefs @ Ravens & the games involving the Pats & Tampa will be interesting all season with Cam Newton and Brady on show

n.b. Houston should be +5.5 not -5.5 ... an obvious typo

Agree. We're going to struggle to compete in a tough division and with a schedule featuring the Packers, Patriots and Bills.

I haven't posted here regularly for a while so I might have missed this but do you think we can get anything out of Sanu?

It's a move made out of desperation more than anything I think. The big plus is he knows the offense and can walk right in but he's really deteriorated physically, Belichick cutting him 11 months after trading for him says a lot. Hopefully can make a few plays but I wouldn't be relying on him too much at this point.

Sanu should at least demand attention which can open areas on the field.

Might be all they need him for Gorg.

Also it was a small thing but I liked seeing him on the sidelines giving Aiyuk some 1-1 mentoring.

Agree. I think at best he demands attention from the opposition secondary and maybe frees up some space for others on our offence.

It's crazy to say and a bit early obviously but right now you'd have to say we're a decent chance to finish bottom of our division, given the improvement the Cards have shown (I like Murray a lot).

That's what I'm feeling as well TU, 4th in the division with possibly a winning record. The injuries hurt but the division is stacked as well.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
