Bump, building nicely. Make sure you start to renew, sign up or convince others to....

The club is wanting to have 40,000+ members when we are serious contenders

Not bad considering we had around 35.5k members in 2010 when we finished 12th!!

We'll get there... plus some.

Can you guys comment on the seating arrangements they offer for the 'Demon Seats', 'Redlegs' and 'Trident' memberships?

Living interstate for the past decade I've only had the chance to attend one home game (last year - vs Sydney) since all of the redevelopments took place at the 'G'. So I'm not really sure which of the seating positions are best of the ones on offer in those packages - Level 1 Great Southern Stand and Olympic Stand, Level 2A Great Southern Stand (Demon Seats), Level 2 Great Southern Stand (Redlegs and Trident), Level 2 Olympic Stand (Trident). Any help would be much appreciated; thanks.

They also will be those MCC/MFC members who renewed their memberships prior to GF.

Got a letter said there were over 9000 MCC members signed up already.

So well done to all us MCC members!

hey all im currently an afl silver member with melbourne club support but lately i have been thinking about getting rid of it and getting a normal club membership what membership would everyone recommend, and has anyone swapped from afl membership to club and regretted it and can i buy guest passes on a club membership as sometimes my wife likes to come thats why i have afl membership, the reason im looking at swapping is to sit with more melbourne supporters there not many in afl members and i wanna be guaranteed a grand final ticket not a gold member and the wait is pretty long

hi wattsup an afl membership is great value for money as it doesn't restrict you to solely melbourne matches you can go to any match that is played in the season and that also includes nab cup games except for the final and also the cricket i think, however it is expensive and thats why many people opt just for the club membership and this is where i'd recommend redlegs membership perhaps and try and make sure you sit with fellow dees members too i hope that helped some other people may be able to assist.

Got rid of the AFL membership a couple of years ago. Along with a lot of MFC supporters. AFL contributes only the cost of an adult membership to the MFC, not the AFL membership fee.

Once the medallion club got guaranteed access to AFL seats at the GF, the AFL members lost that privelege.

Solution: off to the Tridents/Redlegs with all the other fanatics and a guarantee seat at the GF if Melbourne make it, and the full price of membership goes to the MFC.

Rather easy really.

What are the seats like in the Trident and Redlegs package? Redlegs has reserved seating on Level 2 of the Great Southern Stand while Trident has seating on either Level 2 of the Great Southern or Olympic Stand. Are they undercover and is one a better view ?

Its a joke Me and a mate are redleg members and another mate just got a 3 game membership. When my mate with the 3 game membership got his card he just showed the secuirty upstarirs and was allowed in with us near the Hassett room no question asked. After his 3 games ran out he would just by a general admission ticket at the gate then flash his card to security. To get upstairs with us. Im not complaining that my mate can get in but I think there a lot of people that are scamming the system and melbourne are loosing money on it.

I've got Trident and sit on level 2 of the Olypic, find it a great view, but it's not undercover, well, not totally protected from the elements. Facilities are good and the non playing players sit there as well.

I've sat level 2 of the Southern before and found it a little boxy, the view is great, but found when sitting up the back, if the ball goes through the goals high you can't always see it.

Love my trident seat and have the same ones for next year

It does depend on availability a bit IE people hang on to the good ones...check with the club as to what seats are available.

You can get wet in either stand depending on the seats, I think Sthn has more undercover (from memory only - again check with the club).

You get bird's-eye of the interchange in Olympic, but you don't have the social club, so will be fraternising with the opposition and at night games and drinking light beer.

My group (all tridents) gave the Olympic a go when it was re-done, but moved back to the southern. (Edit: Level 2)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
