I received this from a friend yesterday, though it was a good 10 minute filler. have a go and see how your side turns out.

Not many MFC players in there, i assume it will be a different story this coming decade.

Sorry if this has already been posted.

HF: B.Harvey(NM) J.Brown(BL) M.Pavlich(Fre)

F: J.Akermanis(BL) M.Lloyd(Ess) W.Tredrea(PA)

Ru: D.Cox(WC) G.Ablett(Gee) M.Voss(BL)

Int: M.Primus(PA) B.Cousins(WC) N.Riewoldt(St.K) C.Judd(Car.. should be under WC)

Captain: M.Voss

Coach: L. Matthews (hate him, but had to)

Think of the players i couldn't fit in, r harvey, carey, richo, black, kirk, fev, hayes, goddard, mcleod, archer!

2nd ruck was hard to pick, but i reckon that side would be tough to beat in a game

Cousins

Captain: Ricciuto (from the bench ha ha..)

Coach: Paul Roos (rate him higher than Lethal as any mug could've coached that team to 3 flags. Roos is a genius and had greater longevity...)

It was too inflexible with having to pick players from certain groupings. Richo probably wouldn't have got in, but I didn't think anyone else deserved the HFF spot. Would've put Ricciuto there ifI had the choice...

Seriously hard leaving out some dead set guns. Some guys just pick themselves. Leaving out W Carey was tough, but as others have said his best work was in the 90's - would captain the team of the 90's

Others we forget quickly that they changed the way the game is played. Because J White was so dominant they put in the second circle, changeing ruck work forever. Cousins' 3rd 4th 5th 6th (etc) efforts meant that we have to have ridiculous rotations to keep up with them.

Backs: Fletcher Scarlett C.Johnson

Half: Backs Hodge Archer Mcleod

Centres: Cousins Voss Black

Half forwards: Hird Brown S.Johnson

Forwards: Akermanis Lloyd B.Johnson

Rucks: White Buckley Ablett

Bench: West Ricciuto Riewoldt Judd

Hard task..here was mine:

B: Fletcher Scarlett Clement

HB: Hodge Bolton McLeod

C: Goodes Black Buckley

HF: Hird Riewoldt Ricciuto

F: Harvey Lloyd B.Johnson

Foll: Cox Ablett Cousins

Int: Goodwin Lappin Judd Hayes

Missed Pavlich somehow - fail, the guys had 6 AA's. I'd swap Lappin for the Pav on the bench if I could amend. I was harsh on some Lion players too it turns out - Voss, Brown and Akermanis. Just can't fit enough of them in will be my excuse. Pav is a major blunder though. (hand is up ! - sorry Pav)

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
