Did anyone notice that Scully got the most amount of possessions for both sides.

It was a relatively low 23.

This guy will be a major ball magnet in the coming years...

Loved the bit the commentators highlighted in one part during the match, the Palmer (i think it was) and Scully were next to each other, and then Scully did a 300m gut run and was running powerfully and impressively, while Palmer coudln't keep up with him and was struggling behind buggered.

I think Sculls will be untaggable because of his elite running ability. His handballing is very creative, and his kicking has really been good of late.

Will undoubtably be an elite player

In my opinion, the best of our abundance of young talent.

Make no mistake, I don't think I've seen a player of his quality on our list in my time following the Dees (1994-2010). I have very little doubt he'll be an elite player and he'll get there pretty damn soon!

Yes the dash from half back to half forward was a really telling insight into Scully's skills. It was Gerard Healy commenting on his battle with Hill. Hill is certainly exciting and no doubt the dockers fans must love him. He probably does some things better than Scully and Scully some better than Hill. This example was in the third term when stamina was increasing in importance. Scully is full of it. Sensational. I love his creative handball

Very true not many players can get 18 disposals in the last quarter. he went harder while others had stopped due to fatigue

Nearly agree - I think Liam Jurrah is an absolute freak and will become extraordinary.

I agree he is showing all the sign of an elite player in the making. I'll be most relieved when his contract extension is locked away, as GWS is circling.

he did not get used in the passage of play when healey was making that comment, not sure if he was free, but if so we have to use him and reward him for his gut busting runs. It will just deflate his opposing player even more.

I cant remember who it was but I am pretty sure that a goal was kicked by another Melbourne player... Could have been when Jurrah hit the post running into an open goal on the angle...

Healy intimated that this would be a good thing for Hill as Scully was unlikely to play any kind of lock down on Hill who Healy thought could tear the game apart.

Well, the opposite was the outcome in this game as it was Skulls continual gut busting running that left Hill flat footed - no mean feat! Hill can certainly play and is a super attacking player, can't say I've concentrated too much on his defensive efforts but he was certainly lacking in this area against Skull.

Probably a harsh judgment on Hill as he won't be the last player Skull leaves in his wake!!

Hill had bursts of brilliance but did not have a continual affect on the game... It think that this may not be the last time that teams send ball winning mids to tag Hill... His defensive side to his game is good if he is doing a chase with his speed but if it is to continually stay with someone, his stamina is lacking.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
