Disaster season for Saints

Featured Replies

My god, sounds like an episode of Maury Povich!

The only issue in this is if they were in contact from the clinic at the school, otherwise it is a matter between two legally consenting people. Not a great image for the game, but hardly an Andrew Johns fiasco.

Andrew Johns was caught with ecstasy at a concert... I think you mean Matthew Johns who was involved with a 'sex scandal' in New Zealand

If you are a male in a nightclub (default 18+ to enter the premesis), and have sex with a girl from there, (either there or at home the same night) then it is later discovered that she is underage, it is my understanding that YOU can still get in trouble! Who on earth is going to ask for ID before the deed??

You may very well be right mate, hence the law is not perfect.

Regardless of the venue I think a male would be mad not to at least ask the female in question if she is over 18 (should he have any doubts whatsoever). If she blatantly lies about it then I can't see how he can be held accountable. Asking to view her ID isn't feasible.

She just sounds like a star struck little [censored] to me.

The first thing new draftees are taught is to NEVER have unprotected sex because there are a lot of girls/women out there that tell the footballer that they are on the pill and end up having his baby and ca$$$h in big time.

I hope you're reading this Tom,Jack,Jordan,Luke,Maxy!!!

On the flip side, if the player has played 100 games and she has a boy he will qualify for the father son....(kidding!)

All so serious people.......who cares really, I'm a parent so not going to say 'where are the parents' ho hum, not going to get into the players, who knows which pursued which...footballer or not young people get into these troubles and always will....the only enjoyment I get out of this is the line above by Wrathchild.....the father/son!! Great work!! HA HA...have a laugh!

Incorrect..

Matty Johns=Sex Scandal

Andrew Johns=Ecstasy popper!!

Tim Watson saying she's 16 or 17. I hope she is 17 (not that it makes it a whole lot better), and I hope it was consensual (which from reports it is).

According to the Today Show this morning she told the Saints players she was 18.

Incorrect..

Matty Johns=Sex Scandal

Andrew Johns=Ecstasy popper!!

So big tuna got it right.

You can eavesdrop the saints forum and decrypt the clues if you hate secrets as much as me - their faithful seem to accept the nominations

Yeah no you're right, got those two mixed up. I try to pay as little attention to NRL as possible!

My posts got deleted even though i did not name the players.

Just gave clues,umm.

Not my fault if i know who they are.

Sorry yeah he did..once again thanks for YOUR 2 cents! I meant to reply to the original comment. As long as we are clear now hey HT.

Apologies to Big Tuna. Wasn't saying you were incorrect

What would your tips be for some lucky 'lottery numbers' tonight???

The Sainters people over at Saintsational reckons a Collingwood player is involved. Anyone want to bet my post at #29 is got merit?

She just sounds like a star struck little [censored] to me.

Charming

I prefer to take the opposite view here, more kids, more often, so long as the girl has the right genetics.

Just to play devils advocate here. Seems shes gone to some lengths to play footsie footsie with these guys..( and another by all acounts) .. lets not suggest shes little miss innocent here. Strikes me as some sort of Footy Fun Fanatic. She' supposedly displayed herself as 'of age" on facebook etc.

Looks to me shes rolled the dice..and come up craps. who's the instigator here ?? We dont know the age of the players. It could all be quite legal....if stupid !!

oh..and for the record.. I have 14 and 16 yo daughters...take them out of their school uniforms and into dress up civvies and its bloody scarey !!! Youd think in this day and age players would be all but young-girl shy..but boys will be boys...and strangely enough...girls wil lbe women

it does not matter if the players are 17 it is still stat rape. The saints are the biggest double standard club around, its players and leadership group, only suspended player they don't like, a few years ago when Steven Milne was involved in, the same thing lovett was in voled in the leadership group did not suspend him,but when it was lovett then they suspend him straight away, it would be good if the players involved are in the leadership group, becuase it will show how much there leadership is corrput, and only jugde who they don;t like,or who they did not want in the first place. Good job saints. IT show why this club only have won one flag, they are the dumbest club, everything the touch truns to S#$$t.

Nope, girl is at least 16, so it isn't.

Yes I know, I deleted them. For legal reasons for this site. That is why I posted the Guidelines of this Forum for you.

Does St Kilda have a morally corrupt culture the only answer I can arrive at is yes.

The club has form in these kind of areas. There's nothing more rediculous then what I have read today.

I really find the whole thing concerning and people in a position of authority or senority have

clearly taken advantage of a vulnerable person.

There are just no winners in this especially the girl and her family.

Imagine being her dad.

I have 3 daughters and i know i would be straight down to the stkilda football club to ask what in the hell is going on down here where i am at work while my daughter is at school supposedly in a safe envirement.

ive got two...id be talking to HEr first !! who else..is almost irrelevent..its the WHY

we need to understand in this day and age there are many self determining 16-17 yo's And even as parents we wont getto say what they will do at the end of the day... we can only guide and mentor. if they wont they will..some ar ethat way. Seems she was

Well arn't we all on our high moral ground. Pffft. And the Legal resons are getting quite tired and basically a useless arguement.

This is a rubbish story IMO

People are calling it Rape...Please, That girl followed these boys around the country-she knew exactly what she was doing.

  • NON-MFC: Round 05

Gather Round is here, kicking off with a Thursday night blockbuster as Adelaide faces Geelong. The Crows will be out for redemption after a controversial loss last week. Saturday starts with the Magpies taking on the Swans. Collingwood will be eager to cement their spot in the top eight, while Sydney is hot on their heels. In the Barossa Valley, two rising sides go head-to-head in a fascinating battle to prove they're the real deal. Later, Carlton and West Coast face off at Adelaide Oval, both desperate to notch their first win of the season. The action then shifts to Norwood, where the undefeated Lions will aim to keep their streak alive against the Bulldogs. Sunday’s games begin in the Barossa with Richmond up against Fremantle. In Norwood, the Saints will be looking to take a scalp when they come up against the Giants. The round concludes with a fiery rematch of last year's semi-final, as the Hawks seek revenge for their narrow loss to Port Adelaide. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
