Would be happy with 7,000 and I say he can't do it. Prove me wrong Ricky, prove me wrong!

You don't rate him at all?

I nearly fell for that trap, but notice the "a". This is just the poster's subtle suggestion that people get Ricky PettErds name right.

Funny this thread should appear. I had this argument with my brother pre-match on Saturday. Having followed him closely in the pre-season where he has kicked 2-3 goals at every outing, I suggested to little brother that Ricky would kick 45 goals this year. Little brother scoffed at my suggestion... we'll see.

37 goals.

This giving some sort of range ie. 35-40 is nonsense !

It's like saying the winner will come from No's 1,4,11 and 9 in the Melbourne Cup.

:P;)

No it's not.

Saying 35-40 means exactly that. Could be 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 or 40. There's not much difference between them anyway.

Have a look who has predicted that range t_u.

I've predicted this year to be a breakout year for Ricky. I believe 50-60 is possible for him anything above that will see the dees win alot more games than we'd hoped for, so I say 'Dare to dream'!!

30 would be super.......40 would be unreal....

in a perfect world you would want him and aussie kicking 30 - 40

watts 60 and jurrah 50 odd

As long as he keeps presenting like he did last week I don't think a number matters. He will kick a good bunch and he will give opportunities to others to do the same.

It was just nice to see a talented target up forward and I will enjoy seeing more of it.

Well if he maintains his average for the season thus far he will get 66...

That being said I'd think around the 40 mark is a fair call. To say 30 would put him at barely over a goal a game for the rest of the season (assuming he plays every game), and I think he's better than that. Should he go into the realms of 40 - 50 I would be both stunned and thrilled.

seventy eight hundred million and forty four hundred!

You should be banned from Demonland for that post Nostra. My sides hurt and my eyes are watering from laughing, and my other half thinks I should be locked in a padded room.

Think of the best small forwards in the game: Milne, Chapman, Rioli, Le Cras. None of them could kick 75 even in a great side, let alone a bottom side.

I know it's a while back and the game has changed a bit in the interim, but Gerard Healy and Jeff Farmer both managed it for the Dees.

Yes Gerard Healy & Mark Jackson kicked a bag between them one year i remember

I made a bet with my Hawthorn supporting mate that Liam jurrah would kick 40 goals this year during the H & A season. A week later he went doen with his shoulder so my mate reluctently allowed me to change my attention to Ricky Bobby. Ricky Booby in my opinion is just about our smartest player and him bagging 40 was always ambitious but possible with no injuries.. 2 games in were well on track and a carton will hopefully come my way...

Has anyone else taken ambitious Melbourne based bets with mates???

38 goals (16 as helicopters), 47 behinds, 11 on the full. Love the guy and he plays with great heart, but you have to admit that he does kick far too many helicopters and shanks. If he kicked straighter, 50 would not be out of the question.

Also, not trying to get back to the dropped mark at the end of the game on Sat, but had anyone else ever noticed prior to the weekend that he is a prolific "nearly mark" taker (ie. he nearly marks a lot of balls, but they just drop through the fingers... like at the end of the Pies game)??? Hopefully his hands will get more sure over the journey. Very good player though and just starting to blossom after a terrible setback with his life-threatening tension pneumothorax.

The threads have become quite interesting of late - what with Petterd kicking 75 goals and Melbourne finishing top 4!

I'd say with an injury free year he'll kick 36 goals. Less if Jurrah was in the line up.

Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
