It's good to hear Garland is starting to do some ball work. Looking forward to seeing him grace the paddock again soon. Has anyone heard when his return is likely. Will he play NAB cup?

Surely no chance!

I'd say he'll be resuming in the VFL in April/May.

Oh no.

At the age of 19, Jack Watts has not figured it all out.

Quick, let's trade him.

talk about nothing beign said about nothing happening ending up making 'something'.

Dear me, a 19 year old having to be told he's wrong - he must have an attitude problem.

Given he is not physically ready to play full-time AFL footy at CHF at age 19, maybe BP drafted the wrong bloke?

FMD

Too true.Too true

Surely no chance!

I'd say he'll be resuming in the VFL in April/May.

At earliest.

I would suggest 2nd half of the season for AFL.

Fingers crossed.

Pfft yourself, must have missed something there. You pretty much regurgitated what I said in different words.

What can I say? Great minds think alike.

We need a nuff-nuff section on this site. Either that or an extradition to Demonology for posters who just can't grasp the triviality of some events.

Brad's entitled to his opinion. I've got much respect for him as a coach. And quote him by all means.

But it's all your own work to imply that because Brad has "high standards" and is "an honest talker", it means that "Jack will blow up a few times" at him.

Does Jack have a history of blowing up at coaches at MFC? Or is Brad the only coach at MFC with high standards and speaks honestly? Or does Brad know something about Jack that the rest of us don't?

Such an over-reaction to a single incident, which all those who actually saw it say is nothing.

Yeah, you DO do it better.

This is the problem, I'm not the one arguing trivialities. I talked to a coach of the club, gave everyone his view. I didn't say it was a coffin nail, I just relayed information to my great friends here at D'Land...

And now you have parsed my post and are now making a major issue out of the small, albeit negative, aside I gave earlier.

So I can't have an opinion on the personality of a bloke I have seen once a week all summer (Brad not Jack) because I gave no substantive evidence to back myself up?

If the internet required substantive evidence as a prerequisite for any information it would implode in on itself.

At best. I'm expecting a whooole lotta nuthin' from him. In 2010 at least.

You could be right.

I would be disappointed if that were the case.

But I hope we would see him sometime this year in prep for 2011.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
