Interesting to note the ex-Scotch and Oakleigh Chargers boy, Ben Sinclair has been snapped up low in the draft by Collingwood.

He's the son of 1960's Demon, Peter "Porky" Sinclair, now an eminent dermatologist. Interestingly, he's a half brother to ex-cat Will Slade, so has connections to League footy on both his Dad and Mum's sides. Apparently he's a real goer.

Dammit that's two blokes I'll be hope do well for that mob,Simon Buckley and Ben Sinclair. I hope the rest of them suffocate on their Malgaigne's bulges.

bp said last night his dad was absolutely mad Melbourne and in meetings was so red hot for his son to play for us. Ben apparently also wanted to play for us.

On the topic bp said he also got a call sat night from Liam Patrick saying hawks had said they were goin to take him in the draft. He was anxious and told bp he really wanted to come to Melbourne.

i hope in the next year or so its our turn to be flavour of the month with players of the afl, they all line up to play for us. it'd be nice to not be the bridesmaid to carlton or anyone else for a change.

and also i really hope meesen or newton get picked up in the PSD... would love to add somene that may possibly play afl football for us.

Benny is a great bloke, I was hoping in some way we could get him as a rookie. Such a shame he is at the filth, maybe he can lay low for a while and then make his way over in a couple of years.

Any idea how many games his old man played for us?

haha, love this. I go to school with benny and a very good mate of mine. He is a STEAL at 62, hes a steal at anything over 35. Spoke to him a few days ago and he said he didnt think he was going to get drafted. very very happy for him. Will be a good player

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
