Being the big hoops fan that I am, I remembered a story i had heard about Orlando Magic player Jameer Nelson, arranging for his teammates to go to Philadelphia to train and bond together in the offseason. You can read about it here Summer Training Camp

They are now into their fourth year of running it, and with a finals appearance last year they appear to be on a winner and it got me thinking that it would be a fantastic idea for the MFC, or the players themselves to organize a couple of houses for the summer out near Casey for our core of younger players to train and bond together for the summer, without having to worry about the travel factor that Brock alluded to. Meals and extra weight sessions under a supervised eye could be arranged, and it would be also great for our relations in the Casey area to have some Demon faces around the place. I am not sure if it an expense we could handle, but it would be a fantastic initiative nonetheless.

Sure, Bonding at an early age can never be a bad thing, even some of the older guys could get involved. Long as there is some sort of loose supervision so that things don't get crazy.

Yes it could be great PR for casey, but badly handled it could just as easy be a nightmare!

Contact the club about it. The Idea has sure got legs

All for the concept in general, but in Casey?? Why would young guys want to spend a week in Casey? Perhaps down by the beach somewhere may be a little more enticing during summer.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
