It will be pick 1 and 3.

We will take Scully at 1 obviously.

Dockers may take Trengove at pick 2.

So who would people like at pick 3?

We could still beat the Roos too. I don't think we will, but on today's performance we could very well win it. Then there's Carlton, who aren't the most reliable side either.

Fair call. But who should we take at pick 2 or 3?

We all know the names by now, its too late for a real smoky to appear.

Trengove, Morabito, Butcher, Lucas, Rohan, Koby Stevens...

I'll chuck in Lewis Jetta too.

Lewis Jetta looks to be an absolute marvel.

Cyril Rioli, but even better.

Would take him at pick 3 for sure.

Check out Lewis Jetta playing in the WAFL state game at the age of 17.

The goal at 1:40 is insane.

Time to start speculating on who we'll take 1 & 2 now that its a virtual certainty.

As others have suggested it will likely be picks 1 and 3.

It is far from a forgone conclusion though. We will beat Freo I think. But Freo still have home games against Port Adelaide and Essendon to come. Depending on which Freo shows up and which Port and Essendon show up, Freo could pinch one of those which would give us picks 1 and 2.

Either way, we're getting Scully and another quality player. That's enough for me to know.

Good vid, but there is so many stupid highlights in those videos. One highligh was the ball going over jetta's head and someone else kicked the goal, why would we want to see that.

A west coast mate of mine has said for some time that they are really interested in Morabito with their first pick. Clearly the home sickness issue is a major one for all clubs. With the strength of the WA team at the Nationals he was talking up their local crop as having some great options.

Scully and Trengrove for mine - -Maybe Butcher might sneek through to our second round pick (19 I guess), wouldn't that be the perfect result! ( I know, dreaming)

Best case scenario is Scully and Trengove. Hope that if freo gets pick 2 they pick a WA boy (Lucas or Morabito). Saying that i would be happy with Morabito or Rohan at pick 3 anyway.

Looks very good. Whether he's worth a pick 2 or 3 is the question. But you never know what the scouts are saying and thinking.

Is he Neville's brother or cousin?

The thing about drafting is that half the game is assessing where other clubs are ranking the players. We might consider Jetta to be worth a pick 3, but if the other clubs rate him further down the list, it's worth hanging about and hoping he might fall to a later pick for us and picking someone else with pick 3.

From what I understand, in 2007 we were considering both Morton and Grimes with our pick 4. We went with Morton and couldn't believe our luck when Grimes was still available at pick 14. So you never know how it's going to pan out.

Anyway, he looks good. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Melbourne jumper. It's just the price that is the question.

No surprises here:

1. Scully

2. Trengove

WE by know means have sown up the priority pick YET.

It's a fools paradise to think that before we play North then FREo'.

Lets Keep our eye on the pill.

I bet we'l beat nrth and freo now

Don't even think it.

I actually have some hope now that we'll even lose the Freo game. They did get up by 50 points against us by half time last year. Granted they lost, and granted it's a different team... But I'd suggest the players would be HUGELY hungry for a win, and we may be their only chance for the rest of the year.

If we do end up losing to them, then it's done and dusted. We could start barracking for the team to win again, and be assured of picks 1 and 2.

no chance for north. Crocker desperately wants and needs a win if he is to be the coach next season, and the players are openly saying they want to get a win for him.

I hope we absolutely [censored] Freo though.....8 goals

Not as good as the one at 7:40... from about 70 out...

I question the opposition though. They're all grown men, even some AFL listed guys, but they were moving like treacle.

Looks pretty spesh, in any case,

Dockers may take Trengove at pick 2.

i doubt they would take trengove.. i am pretty sure they would stick with a local boy just incase they bail on them..

..plus it is Freo.. they will probably trade it for some old guy or pick some hack predicted to go round 5 or something stupid

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
