Did any other Demonlanders notice the fantastic run Carlton received from the Umps last night!?

5 goals from frees and every 50:50 went their way.

It blew my theory about non-Vic teams getting a good go at home out of the water. But I guess there was a good number of Carlton Fans in Brisbane making their presence felt, so it's probably a bit different from Adelaide or WCE at home.

certainly did... the umps cost Brisbane the game !!!!...shame umps !!!.. and pity cocky fev played reasonably well ( with the help from the umps !!)

i felt carlton got a great run from the umps, but what got me is the way the umps seemed to control the game. the umps were continuously popping up, they were very in your face, especially at crucial moments. they made decisions that influenced the course of the game, stopped momentum and prohibited the flow of the game. i think they ended up with more than double the free kicks of WCE? someone can confirm/correct that if they want.

speaking of umpires, did anyone se the oush in the back paid against ricky petterd for casey yesterday? he used his hip to body the other player out. no contact with the players back, both hands up for the mark and got pinged. terrible.

Sad to say, it looks very much like the notion of impartial umpiring has left the building. Either that or they are just not training them like they used to.

Yeah Deanox I saw it. It was text book perfect the way Ricky competed for that ball and did it 100% fairly. Makes you shake your head in disbelief when you think of Rougheads push against us 2 weeks ago with the umpire in perfect position that he decided was a fair contest!
