Listen up up mate and I'll spell it out for you. DUNN & BATE were taken at picks 13 & 15 in the 2004 draft HOW LONG !!!!! does a midfielder/forward need to develop THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!!!!!

Me expressing my opinions of players and their potential for improvement does not keep anyone on the list for too long. As much as I'd like to be able to talk to Dean Bailey regarding players I just don't have that contact.

I'm listening and thanks for spelling it out, did you use a dictionary? there's some big words there!

Currently neither is playing particularly well, I'm certainly not saying they are. What I am saying is that in my opinion, Dunn has the potential to change his ways regarding contesting the contested ball. That is all I'm saying but thanks for your input. Bate is for another thread.

Regarding going back to bed, I think I'll just hit the couch and read my book. Now that is simple!

I will reserve my judgement on Dunn (career wise) until the end of the season on principle. IMO this is probably the best opportunity he will have to exhibit his football repertoire if given the opportunity - which he seems to be getting so far this year. To me it stands to reason to give final judgement after he has been given that opportunity ie after round 22. With injuries mounting and many youngsters for him to shine out against you would think he would show his hand this year. On the same token, if he hasn't shown a standard of football far superior to what we have mostly seen from him then he is in trouble and won't have anyone to blame but himself. Being moved around different positions probably doesn't help but he has to be in it more and look like a strong and willing contributor. If he doesn't take the bull by the horns throughout the remainder of the season then it could be sayonara.

The "hard stuff", as Dunn puts it, holds no fears for him. In fact, nothing on the footy field really does; backing into packs, poor form, criticism - it's just part of the game.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
