Hi, can anyone from a more civilised state give me some highlights as we go - I've just got stats to look at at the moment.

Looking at them -

Davey doing his thing while Jones, Mclean and Moloney are doing theirs. I'd be guessing that we are getting it forward occassionally but not to great scoring positions.

A lot closer than we all feared it would be. Did my eyes tell me the truth? Were we actually in front for a few minutes late in the first quarter?

Robbo's had a few shots already, which is nice coming back from such a long lay off. Have any hit the post yet? :)

What's with Dunn, Jones and Morton getting the hit outs, by the way?

Half time & it's 4.6.30 to 9.8.62.

They're better than us and much cleaner in their use of the footy. Winning in the midfield and have the class up forward. We're pretty ordinary up forward and have no real focal point.

Still, if we had a score of 4.6.30 last week at half time ...

Yeah all in all its was okay in the end, BUT bate is so frustrating.

No goals and 1 point. Kicked out on the full twice.

I know he is a good player and that is the frustrating thing. We needs some class in our midfield ASAP. We cannot kick the footy.

Okay positives.

Morton was good again 27 and 1 goal.

Maric was good.

Sylvia 8 tackles.

Frawley good again.

Bartram went in hard.

Maric was good.

You are joking. Just got home from the game. He and Bate stood out for their atrocious games.

Maric would be devastated with his performance today. Every one of his few possessions except one went straight to a Cats player. I had him down for 4 Cats goals. Hopefully it was just a bad game for him.

Maric good?????

Was selfish at times and has little courage... will need to improve a lot...

Dunn's lack of courage and footy smarts is terrible and bate should suffer newtons fate surely... he has had 5 shockers and newton had one!!!

Opsss..i ment BAd, lol read my other posts i said bad in them haha..error.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
