The Melbourne Football Club is pleased to announce that it has entered into a significant new partnership with AFL approved sports betting provider, Betezy. This partnership will initially take the form of a one year deal.

Betezy is a newcomer to the AFL landscape. Licenced by the Northern Territory Government to accept bets via telephone and the internet on racing, sports and entertainment, the group was one of a number of sports betting providers approved by the AFL on 1 January 2009.

One of the main features of the partnership will be the provision of a strong signage presence at the MCG, as well as a dedicated website and online promotion and involvement at assorted Club events throughout the year.

Melbourne Football Club CEO, Cameron Schwab, said “We are very pleased to partner with Betezy in what is an exciting time for our respective organisations and look forward to working together throughout this year and hopefully beyond”

The news of Betezy joining with Melbourne Football Club as a new commercial partner follows last week’s announcement of international internet security firm Kaspersky, signing on with the Club for the next three years, alongside Hankook Tyres as Joint Major Partner.

New deals in recent weeks have also been finalised with telecommunications firm Red Mercury, pet goods retailer Pets Paradise, IT hardware and solutions provider Leading Solutions and printing and copier firm Konica Minolta.

This brings the total sponsorship revenue generated by the Club since the new board took over to above $6.5m

How good is this?

The last line particularly encouraging.

Awesome Job Demons..The Board is working hard considering where we have come from. Don't get stuck in Hazy. As the saying goes "Good Things come to those who wait" I would be of the opinion that we were without sponsor for a long time last year because our product was pretty ordinary & a lot of companies were not prepared to "Risk" Money on us.

We were so far behind the other 15 clubs what company would want to associate with the MFC? Maybe Schwabb Hung out for a better Deal-Good. 3 Major sponsors for this year in a time of GLOBAL RECESSION to a club that was down & Out only months ago. Jimmy & Co are doing a fine job i just Hope the Players & Footy Dept do the Same

DEMONS.

Their Newsletter section is...interesting.

They also sponsor the Crows and "Saint Kilda" as well as NRL teams Gold Coast, South Sydney, Cronulla, Newcastle and Canterbury.

Rhino will have to cut up his membership on ethical grounds, given that he referred to those who deal with bookmakers as scum.

How friggen good is this? Three new sponsors, a new deal with the AFL and the MCC and we're also going to benefit out of the new agreement that the AFL are negotiating with the MCC.

It really does make the negative comments about Stynes and co that we've seen on this site recently look pretty silly. If Stynes just took the first inferior offer available then we wouldn't be in this position now.

Given that the Kaspersky sponsorship deal was done and dusted in such a short period of time. I wonder if we were negotiating with Betezy to be our 2nd guernsey sponsor?

I'm pretty sure that even though ppl were slow to realise it, the Betezy deal was done in the time between the Hankook and the Kespersky deals being announced.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
