Funny though, as unreasonable as it sounds, and as much as you'd think this is putting unnecessary pressure on young Jack... after having met him once very briefly I'm still very confident he'll take it all in his stride.

He is 100% our MVP, for the same reasons that make Cale Morton a close second in the same category.

Am sure also he will..seems quite collected as an individual. Its nice to know what we have up our sleeve but happy to be grounded by what will run out.

Potential is really a great thing..but our real MVP's are the ones that can add to the eqation. JW can do little more than watch.

The kid has tickets...written by others.. He has yet to do ONE thing in anger for our club. Let him develop and show his worth.

There are two ways of looking at it.

1.) Player who is worth the most value on the list. = Jack Watts

2.) Most valuable player on the field at the moment. = Brock Mclean

I think the article is actually focusing on the 2nd option. And just goes to show that most non-demon AFL supporters and Media writers don't know anything about our list and to truthfull, really don't see any reason too.

Even the Ox doesn't know anything about our list.

Just puts more evidence into what Dwayne Russell said about the club a couple of weeks ago. Sad, but true.

D333 I would summise that apart from those of us with any real interest in our club mnay have absolutley NO idea what we are or about to be. In a way that suits me fine as we are about to climb quite commensurably off the bottom dwelling echelon and make a deserved rise ( albeit slowly ) up the ladder.

We arent pretty as come media presence..in fact we're doormats..so be it..only performance and results will change that percepetion.

Tragic is right on the money. It's not unreasonable at all to say that Watts is the most important player on the list. And yes, Morton is the other.

Everyone knows that we're crying out for a star, not only because they win flags, but because they make your club relevant, increase crowds and boost membership sales. Watts and Morton are the 2 most likely to elevate themselves to that status.

Bruce, Green, McLean, hard to name another one - Davey? McDonald? Moloney? (that's the leadership group along with Miller)

Current most important:

McLean, Morton. Grimes, Watts, Garland

Where there's overlap a team is peaking (e.g Geelong) , where there's a big difference they're rebuilding (e.g us).

A similar list for the Tigers would be instructive.
