Wasn't much of a game from Adelaide's POV but it did highlight the skills of our Indigenous players. Although we only had two in the team, it's comforting to know we have Jamie Bennell, Neville Jetta, Liam Jurrah and the ever-reliable Wheels around to add excitement to the club. I reckon these blokes could be just the ones to help to our revival as a footy club.

fell asleep early in the 2nd quarter but davey and wona were both stand outs in the 1st for mine.

Davey was excellent, putting other players in space on a few occasions.

Wona looked like he had picked up a yard of pace, lost his direct opponent many times and was just everywhere in the 1st.

The presentation prior to the match starting showed how much this one game means to Indigenous players. It was almost like a right of passage/initiation for the young players. The serious intent on the faces of all the players showed how much it means for them to represent their people. I recently read an article on Griffen and Campbell. It appears that Aaron Davey is seen as an elder statesman amongst the "Indigenous Brotherhood". This is great news for our recent Indigenous recruits. I am sure, our revival as a super power will be driven by the skill, speed and unity these boys will bring . On a side note, does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the Indigenous players to have played a senior game for MFC?

Watched the replay and it was an ordinary game after quarter time when the rain came. Aussie kicked two goals but was pretty quiet after kicking his second goal early in the third quarter. Aaron Davey was just OK but I suppose that being an early February hit out so you can't take much away from the form of the players. My guess is that both will be rested from Friday's practice match and given Lima Jurrah's lack of conditioning, he won't play either and will be eased in later in the pre season NAC Cup/Challenge games.

It looks like Ozzie has dropped a few KG's as well. Hes looking very fit and much much quicker than last season.

The ABC commentators were wrapped with him.

It was really hard to tell who's playing well in that game with deep benches being rotated heavily but AW did some nice things. Agree with bt. Seemed to look to have time and space and he seems to know what's around him all the time.

Looking for big things from him and prove all those doubters who call him a one trick pony.
