Little Devil Membership

Hi all,

I don't post very often any more but anything to do with my little man brings me out.

Demon_jacob received his little demon membership last night. Well done MFC, he loves it!! He had the beanie (or as he calls it, meanie) on first thing this morning, and even wanted the scarf too. The mini scarf is a great idea.

He's not 2yo yet but his membership says 3 years membership. Not a bad effort. Might even have to attend his first game next year.

Keep up the great work membership department.

I'm trying to upload a picture. Anyone know why its not working?

The Mini Scarf is great, my daughter ran up to her Nana who is trying to convert her to the Kangaroos wearing the Scarf and put it around her neck. It was like holy water on a vampire.

I take it 'Nana' is your mother in law ;)

I am a MFC "tragic" living in Adelaide (and am making my first post). I have a 3yo son, who was signed up on the day of his birth as a MFC and a Norwood FC member by me, and an Adelaide FC member by his grandfather. My son happened to be in a humidicrib at the time. My wife questioned my priorities but I'm sure that all Forum members would agree that I was right. I do not want to "impose" the Demons on my son living in Adelaide. I hope that he makes the right choice between the Demons and Crows (Port not being an option compatible with life in our household).

Anyway, I was about to "blast" MFC for not supporting and encouraging their junior members. The Crows sent a parcel with a football, a trucker cap, an iPod "sock" and other stuff within 2-3 days of paying his membership this year. Nothing had arrived from MFC. I could see that I was losing the battle. Then, two nights ago, a parcel arrived from MFC containing a soft footy, a high-quality cap, a calendar, stickers and other stuff. My son was over-joyed. The MFC parcel easily "beat" the Crows offering.

Despite the MFC's financial situation, I believe that we must "break even" or even make a small loss on our junior memberships by offering these sorts of enducements. We must win the "hearts and minds" of the next generation of "tragics" that will hopefully include my son. I am perhaps in the ideal position to view what a wealthy club like the Crows can offer. Well done to the MFC administration for competing (and winning) on this year's junior membership package! Apart from a premiership, I think that it is probably the most important "competition" in which MFC is invloved.

Thanks for the good news story Norwood Redleg. I'm not sure what profit / loss the club is making on the "little devil" membership but one thing it does do is illustrate to the AFL that there is a new generation of supporter coming through.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton

The Demons were blown out of the water in the first quarter and clawed their way back into the contest but it was a case of too little too late as they lost another close one to Carlton losing by 1 point at the MCG.
