James Frawley

Frawley will be ok, he just needs time. I have no doubt that he will be in our best 22 (maybe 18) in the near future 1-2 years. He likes to take the game on and from where I sit this is what we have been lacking. We have played boring football and not taken the game on. So what if he makes the odd mistake, its the only way you learn. Imagine what he will learn not getting one of the best couple of forwards each week like he was this year. The only down side with frawls is his kicking but i'm sure that can be improved - its certainly lot better already then some of best backmen over the last 15 years.

The big problem that I have observed with Frawley is that he seems to lack athleticism, ie a vertical leap to effect a spoil and the ability to keep himself upright in the marking contest.

Until these things are addressed he cant hold down full back.

He doesn't need to play CHB or FB to be a key contributor in the future. There are plenty of good players that lack the above yet are great players because they can take the game on so not sure I can agree with you there.

Played VERY well on Saturday. Will eventually push Warnock out of the team IMO.

Future KPP defenders: Frawley & Martin taking the monsters, Garland taking the talls and smalls, Rivers takes the third defender and zones back to do what he does best.

Very promising backline.

Agreed with the like of small defenders like straus pettered buckley and grimes and possibly jetta or bennel, could develope nicely.

Two years in the system and we expect a finished KPP product. I don't get it either.

I think he's got the tools to being a good fullback too and I believe he should be groomed as that.

Groom him for his best position and with Martin, Garland and Warnock and KPP talls being worth a little bit more then usual in, say 2010. We're in a good position to trade.

Agreed. KPP take a long time. We trade him we might get a pick in 50+ but not much else. Worthy of holding onto. Give him another 2 years and then we will see.

back pocket, that's it. stef martin and warnock for the monsters, garland and rivers for mediums, maybe bell and whelan for the littlies

Agreed Jumbo, Garland on mediums like o'loughlin/o'keefe types or smalls, or forward. Not on big bodies.

Martin will obviously take the match up in defence on the bigger bodied forwards, either F/backline - H/backline & swinging forward when matchups allow.

'09 - Whelan - Frawley - Martin -------F/B

...... Garland - Warnock - Rivers -----H/B

96% efficiency says otherwise.

The efficiency rating doesn't tell you if the disposal was to a player in a good, bad or worse position. I prefer to make my analysis on what I see on the ground, not the figures on a pice of paper afterwards.

Watch the game again.

so in that case you're talking about his decision making rather than quality of disposal.

I watched him close enough the first time, i thought his disposal was good. The stats back me up.

Agreed, I thought he was very good. 70-80% you can read either way. 96% is indisputably good.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
