Hell, I'm taking this quite seriously.

Maybe our approach is Naitanui at 1 and two tall forward prospects at 17 & 19?

Also willing to accept that this is Harvey throwing his own spanner in the works.

I urge everyone to have a punt at BigFooty's draft competition and put Nik Nat at #1, not because Harvey's right or anything, but if he is, it takes out about 95% of the entries already.

Harvey inherited a team that should have finishd in the 8 last year . ( Not only my opinion . but the opinion of plenty of people in the know . )

He is a very ordinary coach , coaching what is this year a very ordinary , vastly depleted list . He is grasping at straws and trying to upset the thinking of people . Take no notice of him . I believe we will finish above his pathetic rabble in 2009 anyway .

Could be a bit of [censored] for our tat in showing Warnock around. I wouldn't be gutted if we took NikNat but I'm very much in the Watts camp. I don't think you draft with the go-home factor in mind, but from the outside NikNat seems like a very good-natured, family-oriented kid and thus a strong go-home risk.

BS

“That’s not a direct conversation that I’ve had with Melbourne but that’s what we hear at the moment.”

Harvey making that claim holds about as much weight as YM posting it.

This is the same man who looked like a rabbit in the headlights on 'The Couch'. Who couldn't state what Fremantle stood for, and who tried to deflect blame for the mature aged players Freo took in recent drafts on Chris Connolly, who had well and truly moved on before Mark Johnson was drafted. His hard line and thought processes worked wonderfully well in the trade period. Where is that first round pick for warnock again??.........."Josh Carr is a leader of our football club, we need compensation" Ha, ha, ha freo screwed again.

Harvey is possibly the most competent assistant coach of the last ten years, and the most incompetent senior coach for the same period.

This guy tries everything to deflect responsibility and attention from himself and his club, who don't have a terrific track record come draft time, and indeed the trade period.

Disgraceful article, Harvey was misquoted which completely changed the meaning of his statement. What he said was something like, "It's not that Melbourne has gone cold on watts, it's just I hear they're impressed with Naitanui."

Basically it's a 'nothing to see here, move along' type situation.

I have been saying ever since that interview that he will not see out 2009. Really who cares what he thinks or that joke club from WA think. Really they are a perfect match. On the flip side I could not be happier about how bailey held himself thus far

Couldn't have put it any better.

Yep, nup, your all right. Feeling a little exposed yesterday afternoon. Harvey is a twang.

Watts to the Dees @ 1, just as I've believed all along.

Here's the real quote:

"I wouldn’t say Melbourne has gone cold on Watts but the Naitanui factor has been growing on them."

I guess the bigger story is that, in the Age today it's reported that Freo is now set on taking Hill at 3 (assuming Watts and Naitanui are gone), leaving Rich to slip out to pick 4-6.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
