4 Week Holiday to Y_M

I had a look over at 'ology and Y_M is having a whinge he was given a 4 week holiday from here.

I have to ask why? While I actually think he really has no idea, everyone is allowed an opinion for goodness sakes. That is why it is a forum, opinions are allowed to be opined upon. The over sensitive nature of these forums is ridiculous to say the least.

what happened to him? did he get banned?

The continuous abuse of a player is not on IMO. I'd say that is why he has been banned.

What he said.

Criticism is one thing. Harping on like a broken record over and over again is another. It's uncalled for and it's annoying, not to mention being against the code of conduct.

The Code of Conduct for this forum includes the following:

While we expect to have some constructive criticism of The Board, Coaches, Players, and Staff, we will not tolerate blatant attacks towards these individuals.

Y_M's unrelenting and absurd attack on C. Bruce is clearly in breach of this Code.

I reckon that's a bit harsh. He never (as far as I know) attacked the guy personally. The only thing he's really done is voice his criticism of the way Bruce plays. But if the Powers That Be have warned him that his behaviour is out of line but he hasn't listened, then he deserves to have been suspended. If, however, the ban has come like a bolt from the blue, then that's unfair.

By the way, I think this should be moved from the footy board, since it's not really about the team.

Gone for good i hope,he truly has no idea and trolls for reaction.

I don't think any Demon player should be personally attacked, they are part of our club,FFS!!!!!!

Every player on our list is giving 100%,some are out of form or maybe not up to it,but they should never be attacked IMO.They live and breathe RED & BLUE 7 days a week.

He's just a waste of space.

Do you think people should be attacked for being "Ankles Country Members," who "aren't committed enough" to get to the footy, though? If persistent criticism of a player's lack of commitment isn't tolerated, why should abuse of a committed MFC member's perceived lack of commitment be allowed? To be honest, I don't think either should be worth banning a Demonlander for.

Also, Y_M's continual support of Sylvia, despite others' disagreement, shows that his dislike of Bruce's style is genuine, not just "trolling."

Don't get me wrong, the guy's an out-and-out idiot. But I don't think he should be banned for his lack of brain cells.

The thread that was deleted and which has ultimately caused the ban was little more than grand-standing.

You don't have to be a rocket surgeon to figure out that YM is a blatant troll who has absolutely no interest in valid footy discussion (It wouldn't surprise me if he actually likes Bruce as a footballer)

He's amusing to me but he gets his rocks off by inflaming posters and watching them talk about him on an anonymous chatsite (he's probably at it now as he reads this).

Its all a result of his limited social capacity, immense sexual repression and extremely small penis.

Alot of you guys didn't obviously see some of the threads he was creating right before he was banned, threads that got deleted straight away and rightly so.

The guy WAS occasionally good for a laugh but crossed the massive tool threshold a fair while back.

Yze_Magic knows very well what he can and can't do on his forum. He has been posting here long enough to know when he is pushing the boundaries too far, and yet he continues to do so.

Over the past month alone he has created and posted some incredibly dumb, repetitive, abusive threads. He abused fellow Demonland members personally and he continues to attack our players, which is not acceptable (our trash can is full of his crap!).

The thread in question is not the sole reason for his suspension, but rather a small part in a large chain of inappropriate behaviour. You play with fire long enough, you'll eventually get burnt (this is not the first time he's been suspended).

But fear not, he'll be back and we'll have to do this all over again

What he said.

So when does Rhino get suspended for his incessantly demeaning comments of Adem Yze?

Double standards if you ask me.

He's banned for criticising a player who plays/works for an organisation that he supports? And he's been banned for that?

Wow. The code of conduct needs to be look over.

Big time.

Honestly guys, if he's been banned for "harping on like a broken record" about C. Bruce, then that totally defeats the purpose of this message board and internet forums in general, PARTICULARLY this one, which is a group of Melbourne supporters who debate and discuss the MFC. I'm disappointed if that's the case.

There's a difference between fair criticism and blatant attacks on individual players.

Double standards or not, this discussion is over. It won't hurt YM because he supposedly banned himself for 6 months a few weeks back.

Let's concentrate on the Melbourne Football Club and not on any individual poster who might have breached our code of conduct.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
