Below are Melbourne players placed in the Top 100s in all categories of disposals etc. They are AVERAGES per game and once players hit 5 games, they qualify. You be the judge. IMO some are telling, the odd surprise, some are meaningless and some need to be taken in context or are distorted by the small number of games played. To me it says, if we continue on the same trajectory, we are finals bound, particularly if we can feature less in the Clanger count. Each stat category is followed by the players name and where they feature in the Top 100. Enjoy Kicks: Bernie Vince, 21, J Lewis 39, Nathan Jones 50, T Mac 97 Handballs: Jack Viney 12, N Jones 16, D Tyson 18, C Oliver 36, J Lewis 42, Billy Stretch 88, M Jones 89, T Bugg 94 Contested Possessions: J Viney 13, N Jones 40, D Tyson 41, C Oliver 60, J Lewis 63, C Petracca 65, M Gawn 65, B Vince 91 Marks: J Hogan 6, T Mac 12, J Watts 32, J Lewis 68 Disposals: N Jones 13, J Lewis 34, J Viney 37, Vince 44, D Tyson 47 Tackles: J Viney 7, N Jones 45, C Oliver 67, T Bugg 74 Hitouts: M Gawn 1 (I'm not bothering with the rest as it's distorted by 3rd man up figures) Inside 50s: N Jones 23, C Petracca 45, J Viney 66, J Lewis 74, B Vince 84, D Tyson 91, J Hunt 96 Goal Assists: D Kent 16, C Petracca 21, J Watts 38, B Kennedy 44, C Pedo 56 Unc Possessions: N Jones 31, J Lewis 34, B Vince 41, D Tyson 68, M Jones 90, J Viney 98 Effective Disposals: N Jones 25, J Lewis 30, D Tyson 45, J Viney 58, B Vince 62, M Jones 94, T Mac 99 Disposal Efficiency %: N Jetta 23, T Mac 26, B Stretch 62, Col Garland 69, Prince 98 Clangers: B Vince 6, J Viney 9, A Brayshaw 24, J Lewis 40, D Tyson 42, S Frost 50, C Dawes 52, N Jones 66, C Petracca 72, D Kent 95 Cont Marks: M Gawn 11, J Hogan 13, C Pedo 51, J Watts 76, T Mac 90 Marks I50: J Hogan 6, J Watts 34, M Gawn 86, D Kent 86, C Pedo 86, J Garlett 98 Clearances: J Viney 13, N Jones 27, J Lewis 33, D Tyson 49, B Vince 78, M Gawn 89 Rebound 50s: TMac 15, B Vince 26, C Salem 59 1%: T Mac 9, O Mac 39, C Garland 63, N Jetta 74, M Gawn 81 Bounces: J Hunt 15, J Garlett 20, M Jones 22, H Lumumba 29, J Harmes 67, C Salem 68, T Mac 80, B Stretch 86, B Kennedy 94

Agree, plus the fact that King's knee went for a second time.

Tom Rockliff has fleas

Gold Coast lose?

His kicks have rocket like trajectory, but unfortunately without the guidance system. Should be a good player if he can fix this or limit himself to short kicks.

And attitude

I think O'Shea was shopped around last year as well, with no interest. Pass

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Roger Mellie replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd feel more confident about this if it was from a credible journo. -
Interesting if around the mark. I thought they'd keep one of Michie or Newton for midfield depth. It's probably easier to retain Viv than delist Newton and go through the rookie draft. Viv is also a bit more versatile. Samael will be happy. I suspect Dawes will be up in the air until Trade Week unfolds. Best news will be the upgrading of Smith if it happens

Hmmm KPD with a dodgy kick. Sounds familiar

lol

Or they're just repeat suckers (I hope)

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

I didn't realise that. It paints a slightly different picture but I find it hard to believe they would be trotting out last year's line as though there'd been no improvement between this year and last. -

Having waded through all the hoo ha, I would factor in the following - if his father is gravely ill, there would be some compulsion to stay around the family as opposed to signing up for a long term deal and swanning off to the other side of the country. I know if it were me, I'd be loathe to lock into a long term deal until I was sure about the home front. I realise the club will be very accommodating and I believe it when they say he's happy at Melbourne. For me, that would be the reality of it. In other words, I think it's about the family and not about playing for Melb or Freo or raking in the big bucks, at this time. -
I thought he looked pretty good, but was better last game. He worked is way into the game and a full time preseason might do wonders for size and development. I thought he was better than Spencil (talent wise) and he's already ahead of Max King. It's a shame he's not a forward / ruck.

He's doing some coaching there
-
The footage looks pretty impressive. If they can sort out his injury issues he might be worth a punt
-
I don't think too many are taking it as gospel. Hope he keeps posting I love it
