Salem has a very distinctive running gait. He has a very short stride and a quicker step. For that reason alone, he doesn't strike me as suited to the wing, even if he can clock up the kms. It's quite the opposite of your hard runner's longer stride eg. Langdon, Kelly, Whitfield

I'm pretty sure we've had a psychologist at the club for the last ten years and more. Some players use them, others don't. I would like to think they have input into improving the mindset/resolve of the group, but it's not leaping out at me. The woman at Richmond was/is something like a mindfulness coach or whatever they're called.

Lachie Schultz has been de-listed from Freo,with a promise to re-rookie. I liked his games in the back half of this year. Victorian boy and a small forward.

As Pulp says, Chandler did preseason with the backline but obv didn't play a lot of footy. He was also injured during a fair stretch of the 2020 preseason.

I'm confident you wont be richer for the experience by looking it up.

ON AFL Trade Radio, North have offered Jadyn Stephenson a 5 year deal with talk of a 2nd round pick. How about Brown to Melb, Stephenson to North and our (worst) 2nd round pick to pies (because they're campaigners).

I get that you're gagging for Phillips for whatever reason, but for essentially a second round pick? You're dreaming! I 'd prefer to have at least one winger that could kick. This gives us none.

A few of these potential wingers could be chained to Langdon over the preseason - Hunt, Harmes and Baker! Hunt and Baker have no tank and Harmes will get sucked into the contest. Langdon is superb at positioning and freeing himself around the contest. He could teach them a lot. I still think the only bona fide wing we have in the side (apart from Langdon) is Fritsch. I would be very happy for him to chain himself to the wing club too. Fritsch has the tank, speed, kicking skills, vision and nous for the job. He could also have stints in the forward line depending on needs.

That could be catchy "Side by side we stick together....except for Adam Treloar and yep, maybe Stephenson and Cox" Good old campaigners forever!
