  1. Some people here straight up have no sense of humour
  2. No, but I would be very happy if it panned out that way!
  3. He's wanted by the club and was offered two years. I'd be wanting a swap of third round picks to bring us into the 30s. We already have a bunch of useless 4th round picks for this year - we can toss one of those in too if they're not all required for rookie upgrades.
  4. By offloading Adam 'Ping the String' Treloar
  5. I think final payment for MCC membership is due in November this year. I presume they will transfer all the member renewals and payments after that date, rather than in dribs and drabs, particularly when there are no office staff.
  6. Anyone know anything about Xavier O'halloran? Where does he play in the GWS midfield. He has the rare combo of speed and endurance and is a noted hard runner. Could he be our potential wing / outside mid? I don't know much about him (kicking skills etc) but he would be a lot easier to get from GWS and is also ex Vic Metro captain. @ChaserJ?
  7. That works a treat!
  8. I'm torn on this one. I want Essendon to get nothing and I want Carlton to pay through the nose.
  9. I quite like that idea. It might suit his outside-ish ways. Not sure what his tank's like and, being a Geelong boy, I'd expect that to be his first port of call. I just can't see Salem on the wing.
  10. If it's a player, I reckon they'll try and push Langdon unfortunately. Would love Daniels
  11. Probably not talking about Polec
  12. As Wiseblood says above - paying obscene cash might do it. Shiel and Devon Smith would be able to give him the lowdown on the place.
  13. Their bizarre trading decisions could be explained if they were stone broke, but it's (the cap) paid by the AFL. It would explain getting rid of all the staff though.
  14. Lol - Jeremy Cameron - preliminary talks would have been him hanging up the phone on them. Ben Brown will end up there on a massively overs contract
  15. If he's a winker, then I take it all back!
  16. In the Jordan Lewis sense of campaigner, I assume. I've met him a number of times (not recently) and have never discussed football with him. He doesn't strike me as a campaigner at all. He's quite aloof though. Maybe it's a white line thing
  17. That's a lovely new outfit Ethan!
  18. A nibble for Nibbler eh?
  19. He's also got officially until the start of November to decide. It's probably wise that he gets some distance from hub life to think things over
  20. I hope that's fake! Yuck
  21. I'm a bit of a Hannan fan despite his less than stellar year. I'm pretty sure he spent most of the preseason in the rehab group because of a groin injury (after the knee injury) so that makes me query his tank prospects. IIRC he had mini stints on the wing in 2019 (like half the team) but don't recall a noteworthy performance but as Polly says, and I agree, he's footballer and a preseason dedicated to that position may surprise if he can get that fitness base. I'd be happy for him to have a year ahead of others O.O.C
  22. I hope the price tag rules out Collingwood from nabbing him
  23. I'm not sure about that. I distinctly recall Port wanting to retain Polec and Polec didn't want to leave (Port or SA). Port had no hope of getting anywhere near North's ridiculous offer. Brisbane didn't want him to go either. Having said that, I'm not 100% sold on him despite wanting plenty more outside run. If he doesn't run both ways, then Goody will have no interest. It'd hard to determine if this is about the player or the coach (with he and Brown)
  24. I thought Viney was weird and I hope he was just hungover or was kept up all night with the kid
  25. Thanks Clint - that clarifies things, but unfortunately, not why Taberner is in the squad and May isn't. I'm a little clearer on the competency of the committee though
