  1. Well that was cheerful ........ did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? It is amazing how much one week can change everyone's perceptions. If only we won last week we would be talking about an upset today.
  2. Well its still better then him walking laps or not even showing up,
  3. I think we all agree if we are going to have any chance of winning or being competitive we need the midfield to play out of their skin and most importantly be able to 'lower their eyes' as they say and find targets up forward. We can't keep bombing it into a small forward line - the forward line needs to work together to create space for leads. Fitzy should be able to make strong leads from the goal square and use his pace to get a couple metres on his man. Hope Byrnes is a late omission because we could use the pace of Kent and or Blease. You would think Blease could do the same and use his speed to make leads in the forward line. I think the forward line will come down to whether or nor they work together to make space and the delivery - that's where Watts and Jones come in. Pedo, Fitzy, Trengove and Howe need to play out of their skins.
  4. I thought the same thing Good Times. I thought Tyson may have been able to sneak in but he has plenty of time to earn a spot. Just not sure about Howe, I look forward to the day when Clark and Dawes demand a spot up there.
  5. Thats beyond tragic - I think it's fair to say you have become deeluded
  6. We are all Deemen here - lets just act like adults people. A little respect never hurt anyone.
  7. I think everyone knows that deep down but no Demon fan likes the 'reality'.
  8. Id say drop Byrnes for Kent (if we don't have talls we need a quick agile forward line) Jones/Viv would be unlucky to get replaced by Blease/Evans (again pace would be good - blease?) Could have Blease, Kent and Harris up forward.
  9. Loving the ladder right now. Might print it and stick it on my wall just to annoy my Collingwood friends. 39% - we thought 54% was bad!
  10. Any reports on Viney?......... or Strauss? We need him in the side. Ins for next week (if ready) Ins: Hogan, Gawn, Blease, Jetta/Evans....? Outs: Spencer, Byrnes......? (wish we could take Pedo out)
  11. I can't remember Spencer having 1 clear tap to advantage. I think he believes that all he has to do is run and jump into the opposition.
  12. I think you should start elsewhere eg. Spencer, Pedersen, Byrnes etc.
  13. From where I was sitting he got to the ball but could never get 10cm on his opponent - still slow as last year. Most of his disposals where useless - handballs whilst getting tackled
  14. I hope everyone can now see we will never be a good side with the likes of Pedersen, Spencer and Byrnes in the side. Howe needed to step up. Can't remember getting one holding the ball. Not impressed with tonight - only good thing was Watts.
  15. Bail and Terlich have the ability to turn it on (Bail rarely though). Spencer, Jones and Byrnes seem duds to me. I can't believe we offered Jones 3 years (as if they didn't learn from Jamar's/Pedersen contract)
  16. Would have rathered Evans or Blease over Byrnes but oh well. Looks like an ordinary team but if you throw in Garland, Viney, Clark, Hogan and a developing Gawn and Kent then that's a much better looking team. I hope we get over the line!

  18. Think it might be Judd
  19. Think you might be right
  20. Not to mention he can split a pack in two. Even if he doesnt mark it he can rag doll the opposition out of the contest and let JKH gather it.
  21. Misson admitted that they rushed him back too early last year and he suffered beacuse of this. I still think he can be a good player for us.

  23. I agree with you Saty except I am so sick of hearing from the players that we are on the right track that I now just ignore it. From what I can see it looks like our defensive side has improved but we still struggle offensivly. We need to be able to break away from our opposition and move the ball quickly and more freely. It would help having Clark/Dawes/Hogan/Howe leading up the wings.
  24. After a long preseason on Demonland I think everyone just jumped at the opportunity to lower their expectations heading into round 1. Glass was half full and now its half empty but at least there is something in the glass.
