Great point. Combined ticket sales from all 18 clubs across all games gets divided by 18 at years end. The Geelongs of the world still own the catering rights. Clubs need to become competitive to get the "exposure games" but all money is shared. Will never happen.

I like/agree with a lot of stuff you post but we can't be on the same page here. Watts is naturally athletic, very quick, would be in the top bracket of AFL players in terms of skill/disposal. He would pick up new game plans/styles with relative ease. Were talking about the basics of the game, many of which can be done without the ball. He reads the play well, if these things are not getting done it's purely because he chooses not to do them. Let's no over complicate this.

Watts had one foot out the door last year, Roos signs then Jack signs. Everyone knows Roos wants to play tough, accountable football. I'm assuming they spoke before Jack signed. I'm guessing 3/4 time on Saturday night wasn't the first time Roos has ever spoken to Watts. So what's the problem? Injured? Don't think so. You either want to put in or you don't. Has till years end to prove his worth or we take what we can get for him.

You can't be serious, continual progression of what? If Watts tries any harder to avoid the contest he'll be out in the carpark.

This year, hasn't had any serious injuries I can remember. As I mentioned earlier we had to give him a chance under Roos, he is flat out of excuses. Only problem is now his trade value has dropped from first round.

So if Georgio repeats the action, he misses a game. Two separate trivial incidents which don't warrant suspension by themselves have their powers combined to total x amount of points which warrants a player to miss games. I always wondered where the Pluck-a-duck wheel wound up.

The whole system is a joke. Not a fan of carry over points. This is a perfect example of why the system is flawed.

I raised the boxing last week, he needs something. Running out of options.

Last year I was on the "trade him bandwagon" but then when Roos signed up followed by Jack I could see how it could work. Watts must be stupid, Roos coaching is half the equation, Watts applying himself is the other. His deficiencies were known to all before preseason started and yet nothing's changed. What worries me now is other clubs would be thinking to themselves the skills have always been there, if Roos can't get inside his head enough to motivate him to realise his potential who bloody can. Last year we could have got a first rounder for him, now any club that sees themselves as challenging wouldn't bother touching him. Would be interested to know how much were paying him.

I was thinking more Nick Reiwoldt but a better kick.

Fair call, I don't even agree with my own comment. I had a big four days.

Tyson has played all of 20 games, Salem a qtr and a bit. Some great kids who will develop together. Dunn's been brilliant. When Garland comes back Pedo might be dropped. Yes he's improved his game but he is depth for the list.

T-Mac stays, Toumpas stays as does Howe. McDonalds disposal isn't as bad as people make out. Toumpas is a 2nd year player. Would like to see him off half back. We need some class from the back half. Howe needs to go back up forward. When Garland comes back this should happen. Still undecided on Grimes/Trengove Watts......my main concern is he's alright. I'd hate to see him put out for a second.

Not sure about the shrink. With regards to his decline in contact since round 1, I put it down to round 1, new coach, new season, clean slate to an extent. Saints were serverly undermanned and had lots of kids in. Now as the season progresses and we start to play more experienced teams he goes missing. In the past a player will leave then play a decent game for their new club and we all say "were we the problem, couldn't we develop him". If Roos can't get the best out of a Watts this year he must be traded, might get a 2nd round if were lucky. Can't go into games with players who refuse to put in 100% regardless of how good your disposal is. We are building a culture, he is not setting a good example.

Round 1 against an undermanned Saints he was impressive but as each goes by he becomes more exposed.

Was really impressed the first three weeks having seen 4-5 games each week. Umpires interpretation of prior opportunity is puzzling.

It will be diddums for Watts should he find himself dropped. Has to happen. Team must come first.
