  1. Merrett will try and rough up Hogan.
  2. Due to our lack of realisation we need to turn up mentally every week.
  3. The Hawks seem to do alright without a dominant ruckman.
  4. More depth? On top of who? Our team today carriers a couple of passengers. The first three named is the BOG are Jamar who is 8 weeks of retirement and Grimes and McKenzie who both are not AFL standard. Last weeks loss to the Bombers along with the Hawks pantsing of Sydney shows we are still some time away.
  5. By manipulate do you mean dubious tribunal decisions?
  6. Agree, I think it's highly likely. If Hawks offer to the Cats he'd have to consider it.
  7. Even if Mcgovern didn't go down(still might be back in time)I think the Hawks have them covered. I'm still thinking Hawks will land either Danger or Treloar.
  8. Hawks still to play Carlton twice. Eagles and Richmond will find out the hard way too.
  9. If our team all stood in centre of the ground and were yold... If you can't dispose of the footy leave now. If all you bring is bringing the ball to ground leave now. If you can't play hard contested footy leave now. If you don't understand that you need to come ready to play every week leave now. How many would be left.
  10. The only thing he's gotten right was how he handled the tragic passing of Phil Walsh.
  11. If Hampton could actually kick the footy he'd be a player.
  12. Rightly or wrongly Grimes is a former captain of the club. He is clearly not part of the list moving forward and doesn't fall under depth player as it seems our kids will be given games before he gets another look in. Would anyone trade for him, I think it's unlikely. Assuming his contract was front loaded are we better off coming to an agreement at years end. Let's be realistic, the top clubs are ruthless hence that's why they're on top.
  13. Who should we have gone for?
  14. After we beat Geelong he was the messiah again, after losing to the Bombers he's back to being a very naught boy.....
  15. I took one multi with North dogs Eagles Hawks dockers Giants dees crows saints Combined odds of $147.93. Dogs and saints are big chances I think.
  16. That number was also speculative....at best.
  17. Nice, I only go head to head. I tried getting smart once by tipping qtr by qtr leaders to increase the odds. Suns lead at qtr time, Hawks went on to win by over 100. Now I just keep it simple. Small amounts still add up.
  18. Won a little bit of North tonight but will not be betting on them again all year. They are a mess, if they fall into the 8 hopefully they are bundled straight back out along with Richmond.
  19. The only "name player" that I can think of in recent times who held off from signing all year before putting pen to paper was Cloke. The only "name player" that I can think of in recent times who had the balls to say I'm off at years end was Phil Davis and subsequently dropped for the rest of the year. We have had VB, Angus and Petracca (possibly others I can't recall) all extend their contracts. We've heard nothing with regards to the Toump.
  20. Of course it's assumption, did you have to ask? 98% of stuff posted here is speculative.
  21. No worries alright. Next weeks changes - Grimes, Jordie, Toump
  22. Last year Roos played Chip forward. This was done to prepare the defence for "life after". Dunn had a stellar first half of the season before dropping off then steadying somewhat. TMac having a similar year. Also with Hogan out we needed to try and compete to some extent. This year if Pedo and Frost weren't injured Roos could entertain the idea of dropping Howe. Howe is a seasoned player, clubs aren't stupid, they know what he brings to the table. If anything playing Toumpas is lowering his trade value.
