  1. Just drawing a comparison on the level of bafoonery displayed by both Jobe and Homer.
  2. Can we add Grimes into that deal with Howe. Apperently the Suns are void of leadership.
  3. What would you take for Toump? I'd be happy with a second round pick.
  4. Quality person?I've got no idea why I'm getting all these injections. Homer Simpson at the post office Homer - hello I'm Mr Burns, I believe you have you have a letter for me. Post office worker - Ok Mr Burns what's your first name? Homer - (pauses, blank look on his face) I don't know. He's no leader.
  5. Its like the whole Malthouse saga, you've got the milestone now sodd off.
  6. I would like Michie and Newton to be given some more opportunities before the year is out, maybe not both at the same time. I like the team you have named but would make one change. VB to the fwd flank, Toump to the VFL and Newton to the bench.
  7. Cant remember if I was in agreement or not on that but that whole era was still part of the "we haven't developed them properly". Everyone is out of excuses and some senior players are getting found out.
  8. Yes depending on match ups is how we prepare tactically but if we haven't learned from the Geelong game to go into every week with a winning mindset we never will.
  9. Well it is what it is. The last two trade/draft periods have been favourable for us for obvious reasons. We can assume that realistic contracts have matched those list management decisions.
  10. Where the hell is all the money going then? Considering we have the same cap as the Hawks.
  11. I did say speculative. 500k is still too much.
  12. This it it, not all picks have to be used on kids, we can on trade them for established talent.
  13. The wages I posted are speculative but if Garland and Howe can demand 5-600k they're welcome to it. Play Tmac, Frost and Dunn as our 3 key backs. Jetta, Salem and H/Cross.
  14. 700k Dawes450k Grimes 350k Garland 300k Howe 200k Toumpas If we are maxed out this year lets hope that's because management are/were smart enough to manage it that way so we have space to make a play for a established player/s. Weren't we offering Hanners a massive deal? Would anyone really be against any of the above named players being moved on if it ended up like a Vince/Sylvia situation.
  15. Hogans is contracted until 2017, he turns 22 that year. By the end of next year all going well with regards to injury we need to offering him a long term deal. Pav is just about cooked. More than happy for everyone else to receive 3 year deals. By then we should be a club that stands for something and retains its players.
  16. This year marks the end of contracts for Howe/Garland with possibly both at new clubs next year. Next year Grimes/Dawes/Terlich are out of contract. 2017 looms as the best list we've had in years. That is if we use the last two trade-draft periods an indication then we should be sitting nicely. Should Godwin want out, which I don't think will happen if quite happily take Woosha.
  17. How much are we paying him?
  18. Wouldnt be against a long term deal to Hogan. Sooner rather than later. For a marquee player it's justified. 2016 marks the end of the dead wood contracts.
  19. Would love to know what the Swans/Hawks/Freo have for 2 million.
  20. Luke Parker 5 mil over 5 years and front load it.
  21. Jetta Frost Dunn Cross Tmac Salem H Jones Angus Watts Pedo Vince Garlett Hogan Kent Gawn Viney Tyson VB ANB Stretch JKH Spenser developing along with an injured Petracca and Trengove. Seeing these young/first year players come in and be effective has been great. A combination of natural talent and development under established coaches. Just throwing this out there....again....(all estimates) 700k Dawes 400k Grimes 350k Garland 300k Howe 200k Toump = 1.95 million of our cap on 5 players. I think we could afford to loose all 5 of those players and move forward not backwards. It would do three things. Firstly the so called mentally scarred(I don't see much upside in them, Howe is probably already gone). Secondly frees up massive space in our salary cap. Thirdly allows us to target real talent and put forward real offers to the likes of Hogan. It would mark the last of the dead wood contracts.
  22. Any chance the "go home" factor will kick in for him?
  23. Exactly, play to our strengths not their weaknesses.
