  1. Barring further injuries we will beat the Pies come QB. They are just travelling.
  2. The relevance is we're discussing who might take the reins at Carlton. If they are sitting back thinking its a choice between Woosha and Bomber they might get trumped by the Tigers. Bomber might have had enough and Woosha goes to Tigerland. Hardwick in his sixth year of a 14 year plan.
  3. I think we will too, but we can't become the next Richmond. And by that I mean 1st qtr specialists. Top clubs don't have the luxury of picking which games they want to "get up for" they come prepared every week.
  4. Yeah was looking at that. Lingy made a great point, 35 tackles won't cut it against Sydney.
  5. Laidley replaces him(short term). He's got his record, time to go.
  6. Our depth is worse. Yes we can say those injured are "best 22" but Tyson, Viney, Salem, JKH, Kent , Frost , Petracca, they're all kids. Then Jetta then Dawes who is currently in a hole.
  7. I think four years OD, and I say that because at our current average of moving on 11 players a year, if you look at players out of contract 2015/16 that's where the problems lie. If we move on certain players this year then 4, if not then 5.
  8. Agree in part hence I said "two years to fix the list". Yes the players that need to go don't hold a lot of trade value do they. By moving on the dead wood we would at least be able to free up the cash to make an offer all being it may be unsuccessful. Realistically I don't think Dawes is going anywhere but would not be so sure about the other three. Wasn't Roos in touch with Frost early in the piece last year. I would like to think the club has identified what they consider to be realistic targets.
  9. Disclaimer: I did say I wouldn't comment on Watts/Grimes until the end of the season. I'm going to have to go back on that for the purpose of this thread. There's no point commenting on their match day performances because there's nothing else that can be said. The thing for me Old Dee is, many posters on here have an attachment to certain players, that's fine so do I. But if you use Frawley as an example, once the dust has settled people's mindset changed, he's gone and look what we got in return. We know we can't continue to serve up efforts like last week. In my opinion we are two trade/draft periods away from fixing our list. The catch is and I mentioned this on a different thread is, before Roos took over we always had that "we haven't developed them properly" get out of jail card. Now we have an elite coaching group. Footy is more cut throat then it's even been. The 17 other clubs aren't as stupid as we'd like them to be. I keep hearing we should make a play for player A,B or C. Would anyone like to guess how much Dawes/Watts/Grimes/Howe would be on combined. Then compare that to what Frost/Angus/VB/Newton might be on. If we are to get anything for these four grossly overpaid/underperforming players it has to be this year. Next year we will just get laughed at if there not already laughing now. People need to let go. The coaches have(maybe not on Dawes just yet)Grimes has been in and out of the side, Watts would be the subject of mass discussion from the coaches behind closed doors. If Howe can get 600k from another club then please take it. You could try and ship off Dawes to the Lions or to Carlton if Henderson walks but even that may not work. JETTA DUNN ? SALEM TMAC GARLAND H JONES BRAYSHAW KENT HOGAN VB GARLETT FROST PETRACCA ? TYSON VINCE Traded in/traded in/traded in/traded in Players to persist with NEWTON MICHIE JKH PEDO Players that must go WATTS GRIMES DAWES HOWE TOUMPAS MCKENZIE M JONES BAIL RILEY TERLICH Then we've got the ruck department JAMAR/GAWN/FITZY/PENCIL......What a mess. What's scary is we have the same salary cap as the Hawks and Freo. Put those trades on the table, get them done, free up some cash and make some plays for Blicavs and a couple of mids and were away.
  10. Dawes and Howe can be added to the list of usual suspects.
  11. I agree, to simply say the Dogs pushed Freo and we got smashed by the Hawks is to simplistic. I remember many on here had us losing to Richmond. But wait the Dogs beat Sydney? Yes but also got beaten by the Saints and flogged by the Hawks. They are a young side playing an exciting brand of footy. They were stuffed after the Swans(all be it in the wet) and ran themselves ragged last week against a side who sometimes just does enough as it paces itself for the year. As much as it pains me to say this we are still a side that gets itself up for certain games as opposed to coming to play every week and this is one of those games. Take this game each way in your multi.
  12. I think the ones in question are already gone, the fact we have injuries give Roos the chance to shop them around. Having said that we won't get much.
  13. He had to lie, considering we HAVE to trade some of these overpaid hacks come years end. Some of the excuses put up on here by some posters are also laughable.
  14. Round 8 BulldogsRound 10 Collingwood Round 11 StKilda Round 15 Essendon Round 16 Brisbane Round 17 StKilda Round 18 Collingwood Round 20 Bulldogs Round 21 Carlton I believe they're winnable games. I don't look it as we got smashed by the Hawks and the doggies pushed Freo so therefore it's an automatic loss. However I do think we "just" have a best 22 and that's when Viney, Jetta, Salem and co are not on the injury list, we have no depth full stop. If we have them all back in the second half of the season I think we're a chance of an possible upset of a team outside of the top four, but sitting in the 8. It was only two weeks ago I cleaned up close to $1400 for two $10 multis for tipping the Saints over the dogs and the Giants over the Hawks. As for the priority pick.....,.next.
  15. We got flogged and still lost the tackle count 74-64. Too many passengers, too many not up to AFL standard.
  16. Its dissapointing when a first year player like Brayshaw is doing the things you mentioned whilst senior players sit back and watch. Who's on your list to go at years end?
  17. Was the Adelaide game last year the last time Dawes impacted a game?
