Melb 12.7-79 Carl 15.7-97 For those without tv access. This has been "one of those games" when every bounce of the ball favored the other side, and early season fumbles abounded. Carltons new midfield looks improved and quite fast compared to us, but that always appears the case when you have first possession. Not sure this is a result to worry about too much.

On the money. Umpiring like this disgusts people rather than pleasing them.

A 50 paid against Tomlinson for shaking his head and putting his hands on his knees.

Every bounce going their way so far. Agreed.

And Soccer is the correct terminology for the "world game" as it mainly consists of 90 minutes of dudes rolling around clutching their ankles. (Sock-er) yeah? Nah?

Daisy weighs up offer to join Geelong as AFL Assistant Coach
faultydet replied to Engorged Onion's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm mildly stunned that anyone on this site would ask that question. I'd be very interested to see how Daisy would go as a coach. I honestly think she has a great brain for it and would be a success. Her husband would need to make sacrifices if she progressed up the tree to senior coaching level. Lets hope he does just that if she ever makes the grade. -
POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any win is nice, but. With pick 1, North Melbourne selects....... -
I can understand if the AFL world thinks he is a bit strange, with the supposed gambling and his infatuation with that ridiculous "energy healer", but he got us to a flag and that is all that matters. I wouldn't be unhappy with a 3 year extension.

In the Top 5 worst commentators in the games history. Just terrible. -
AFL Commentary teams - How good is Daisy Pearce
faultydet replied to Demon17's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've watched that play many many times now, and my opinion is the same each time. "What the hell is daisy on about"? She is very good, but imperfect. -
Not sure, but I will have a crack. Brayshaw is a Melb F.C premiership player Brayshaw is loved by players, coaches and supporters. Brayshaw plays an important roles in the team structure. Brayshaw is coming out of contract and has put off talks. Brayshaw has been chased by other clubs before. This is Demonland, a platform that was invented to allow discussion of the above by Melb F.C supporters.

Surgery to release bleeding from a corkie. Tommo straight back in. We will barely miss a beat.

I reckon many (like me) would have got a bit shirty and indignant when they first read that, but it's nothing more than a glowing endorsement of the team first ethic instilled in the group by our "under siege/gambler/alco" 🙄 coach and his team. Max played the best 2 games of his life to help us finish number 1, and to humiliate the Cats on the second biggest stage of all. Angus would be a midfield star at 17 other clubs - yeah Bulldogs, I'm even looking at you- but we see him getting 15 possies a game while running his guts out to remain OUTSIDE the play, because that is where the team can get the biggest benefit from his work. Champion data. yeah ok.

That's the reason. The elite players couldn't give enough of a toss to make it work. The public seemed to love it, but the players didn't want to risk injury while playing for "another team" I always thought the AFL should slightly relax the anti-biffo rules. The "them against us" teams from S.A and W.A would have relished that and the public would have loved it.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
You know how a cat reacts when you stick your finger in its mouth? That dry retch thing they do? Clarry does that all too often after high or heavy (illegal) contact. Watch him more closely and you'll see what I mean. -

You don't watch him enough. He does it often, and will again in the coming season. -

Of all the commentators in Australia to get their hands on the goat pics, it just had to be Brian Taylor. -

Flower was the single best footballer I've ever seen wear the Red and Blue. I think Clarry will have him covered if he plays like this for another 6 years+ The only blight on Olivers game are the overreactions he does to any form of high(ish) contact. You know, the fake spewing and stuff. It is not a good look for someone as hard at the ball as Clarry is. -
I always thought W.A was the most insular, "us versus the world" place I'd ever been to. It's current actions do nothing to dispel that thought.

We all need the virus to keep evolving as other viruses do. Easier to catch but less deadly with each new variant. At some stage, it wont matter if any vaccines or previous exposure gives you any extra protection, as the virus that you catch wont be a big threat to anyone. If it doesn't happen that way, I do NOT want to catch this bicth again. It was horrible.

I honestly believe this will be the case once his career is over. Even better than Flower and yes Barassi. -
Appreciate the concern dieter. Thank you. Your timing is impeccable. Last night I had a coughing fit so bad the bride wanted to call an ambulance, but it was probably the last hurrah, as I woke up today feeling MUCH better than any of the previous 15. Looks like I finally have it beaten, although still have cold symptoms. Will be interesting to know if I pass the RAT test they will no-doubt make me take when I get back to work next week. Thanks again for the concern.
