  1. Help me here, why wouldn't you play him for the last several rounds, even if we were out of finals contention? He only played 9 games at the tail of last year and it was hugely beneficial for both club and player.
  2. Alright team, no more arguing with Billy or we lock the thread. As for Liam. 16 weeks sees him playing footy again in Round 13... just in time for our finals charge. And we get one more look at 'Juice' before his contract expires as seasons end. It's a terrible break for a valuable player (as is the Morton injury), but better now then 2011 or beyond.
  3. Rollo, I've also got a young Collingwood supporting mate who I'm bringing down to line up with the filth... Not that is particularly matters (cause I'm going to run through him at the opening bounce) but he plays Ruck/Full Forward. Blessed_Hands (recently delisted by Port Melbourne) will be down for us, as will a couple more 6'3" boys both who have lined up with Demonland over the journey. Beating the Pies, Bombers and Tigers in one day - this is what dreams are made of!
  4. Snuck into 16th spot... the first and last time I'll be in that position
  5. Maybe Carlton and Collingwood should merge to take us on! Rollo, find us a game. Blessed_hands is primed for a run and I need my fix.
  6. Available for selection... The hotter the better I say!
  7. God luck today boys. Beating Carlton and Collingwood in the same day... it doesn't get much better! Bring the Demons home a premiership!
  8. Smart move. Those who aren't match fit ( so I'm talking to everyone ), be sure you get a few kms under the belt this week. It'll make the world of difference the next day. Rollo, great job as usual. Should be a top day. I'll be following the progress scores on Twitter throughout.
  9. We were in this HT. Not sure when we jumped ship, but it's of some comfort not seeing our clubs details on that page.
  10. Yeah, holding aloft "The Shane" has an undeniable appeal to it. Run with it Rollo...

  12. This old warhorse is good to go for another summer. Sunday 8th and 15th of November are no good for me Rollo. Carlton might like to play us then Say Rollo do you have records of all the games to date?
  13. His '94 finals series was something special. And how about that last clip, great football mind and (back then) a body to execute some breathtaking moves.
  14. Apparently Moloney had Lewis. Col's off the hook...
  15. That's rubbish. He's no skinnier than Morton when he lined up to play early last year - nobody had issues with that. Furthermore he's 15kgs heavier than Jamie Bennell whose running around in the seniors. Frame is not the reason he's not yet playing for the Dees...
  16. I always played my best football with a shaved head. You look tougher, you feel tougher, so invariably you play that way.
  17. Jim Stynes, Paul McNamee in Melbourne sponsorship row PAUL McNamee claims he was on the verge of snaring $6 million worth of sponsorship when he was axed as Melbourne chief executive. McNamee said yesterday he was close to delivering a lucrative double - renewal of the Primus deal and a new deal with a European company. --- Last night Stynes strongly rebutted McNamee's claim. "I just can't believe what he is saying," Stynes said.
  18. Demonalnd League did fill up fast. Not to worry... Here's Demonland 2's code: 511991 And I think we'll need to implement clash strips...
  19. The grammar is important here. Did Healy say we just about had a new sponsor or we just about have a new sponsor? The former is consistent with reports of a missed opportunity in this thread. The latter would be fantastic news and very much a new development as this time last week all our existing leads had dried up. We'll know more tonight...
  20. Demonland League Code is: 420063 Game on!
  21. Sorry I meant lining up on an ex-AFL player. A Freudian slip!
  22. Rollo I'm a little bit excited about the prospect of lining up an ex-AFL player. Any clues as to who it is? Guys get a couple of runs in before next Sunday, it'll make the world of difference.
  23. I'll put this article in a new thread, as the Casey Fields - The Next Big Thing thread has been hijacked by the MCC members debate. Capital plan for Casey sport "CASEY council officers have taken a major step towards making the region the sporting capital of Victoria with an extensive $93 million development blueprint. The 15-year plan outlines the development of 182 new sports fields and facilities and council officers' scheme to increase participation in sport." It really bodes well for our great club.
  24. Fan is the source.
