Did any get to hear the post march press conference? Haven't heard anything of it as of yet.
-
Its not technique, its mindset. The players have even admitted it.
-
Not really. Reminds me a bit of Xavier Ellis. They haven't got the most out of him have they?

A 6 goal loss to Richmond is a positive for us these days hey? What a joke.
-
To me, he was gone as soon as he was jeered off the ground when subbed against the bombers by his own supporters. If there is anyone on this list who owes the club, its this kid. I don't believe he has it in him to pay us back. If we got an A grade midfielder for him I'd let him go. He was a mistake at pick 1. If we can get something worthwhile for him then its not a complete loss.
-
I think he has been a huge pickup for us. Some genuine, hard leadership. His work rate on the field is first class.
-
I heard he wanted out last year along with moloney but still under contract. Only scuttlebutt but from a fairly reliable source. Ive been prepared for him leaving this year since then. Sure he is maligned, but we can't afford to lose a raft of senior players on a yearly basis. I shudder to think of what over the hill spud Neeld would replace him with.

5 Years Says Neeld - Who is going to cop that?
Pipefitter replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Neeld wants consistency of effort from the players. Might help if he had a consistent message. Hes drowning. Don't stress, he is gone. There is no use replacing him now. The club knows that. We will have a new coach next year. No hard feelings Neeld. You're trying your best. You just don't have what it takes. Feel free to prove me wrong Neeld. -
We are cursed at every stadium in Australia.

How much more can you take as a supporter?
Pipefitter replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't really care anymore. Yesterday should have hurt. I just shrugged it off and went to bed. I think that's worse than being angry. When you are becoming irrelevant to actual passionate supporters, that's when situations like this get real dark. -
Practising hand balling at half time on the oval. Amateur hour.

He's already started saying we are younger than the Gold Coast this week. God help us.

This. When dean bailey was sacked he said the next Coach will have an armchair ride to the finals. I believed him. Yep, a lot of players were underdeveloped, but there was untapped talent that the right voice could made a difference. Neeld was not the voice, and ultimately, he put about 14 players in the "too hard" basket and went on to build neelds list. I look at neelds list, it's a bunch of battlers. I don't see premierships with these names. I don't even see finals.

I think the jump from assistant coach to senior coach is huge. As an assistant you are driving your coaches ideas. Now he's the one in the drivers seat. There was an idea that all the players that left last year weren't interested in working as hard as neeld wanted them to. I reckon thats bull. They are athletes, they enjoy pushing themselves. They wouldn't do this otherwise. I think they just left because they don't reckon he can coach.

Top ten in shepards. Working hard back there.

Yes! Finally getting into my first demonland argument! I feel my life is validated! I don't have the solution, nor should I. I pay my membership and rock up every week. That's my job and I do it well. I expect the same from my club. I have a gut feel that Neeld can't coach. Am in the inner sanctum? No. All I see is on the field. And if this dispirited rabble is playing for the coach than I must be completely blind. Port is an example of a good coach turning things around. Neeld is an example of a coach destroying anything that was left.

There will be players who ask for trades too. FA isn't the only exit.
-
I worry about who else will leave this year with FA. There's no end in sight to this on field nightmare. Why would anyone want to stay? Neeld has taken a club on its knees and buried it.
-
Maybe we keeping him till the end of the year in a clever tanking scheme? Give the new coach 2 top 3 draft picks.
-
The players aren't playing for Neeld. As if most players are not already looking forward to the end of the season already. Especially those out of contract. Neeld hasn't lost the players. He's never had them.
-
Too many talented but underdeveloped players let go, replaced with vfl standard players. Bravo Neeld! He will go, it's just when. Read what port players are saying about Hinkley already? With our players it's all about the need to buy in. If we were buying in, this would never get mentioned.

Watts back, beard gone and salvation is on its way.

Last year of contract I believe. -

I would have thought that getting Clark in the first place was so we could let Jack develop naturally as a forward, without being the number one target, mark neeld mistake no 1019310933. I dont understand why Watts is so scared to get touched. He has to get it into his head he is nearly 2 metres tall, is definitely not a skinny boy anymore. He runs around ilke Jamie Bennel all day. -
Moloney is on the way to winning the Brisbane b+f. Neeld mentioned we couldn't match the offer? Moloney wouldn't have gone looking around if it wasn't for you.
