  1. Don't worry, neeld is gone. This won't happen.
  2. I was at the casino last night. Had a few chats to a few players. Trengove is a champ! Played the big wheel with Aaron davey. It's a good night out to be at the casino if you're a dees fan.
  3. It will be a shame to lose him IMO. I think he's prob done as a coach, but seems to be a great footy person in general.
  4. Mike Sheehan has gotten my convinced. His mail is always better than anyone else's.
  5. Wow. I still won't believe it till it happens. Im not used to good things happening at the dees.
  6. Let him see out his 3rd year. Unlike Neeld, he actually has runs on the board at other clubs.
  7. The denial of essendon supporters is unbelievable. So misguided, hero worship in overdrive. James Hird costs the club 2 million dollars, a spot in the finals, and draft picks for 2 years, and instead of showing him the door, they extend his contract!
  8. With the current state of our list, Dunn is best 22. He will remain best 22 until we get our draft/trade business in order
  9. This will close the chapter on the most disastrous drafting period on record. We drafted someone we thought would drag us out of this mess. We got someone who is content being the 18th best player on the list.
  10. Trengove is running around like his 40 years old out there at the moment. Looking at Scully and Whitfield yesterday, thats how top 2 picks perform. We get 14 possessions out of our elite midfielder week in week out. Injured? Have we ruined him? Its a real worry. Playing with the world on his shoulders. But is taking the captaincy off him going to make things worse?
  11. The club doesn't hate losing. Its used to it. Thats the problem now. Even losing to GWS doesn't raise any eyebrows anymore. It was expected.
  12. If i were a football player at this club, when Scully left i would have drawn a line in the sand, like geelong did with hawthorn after 2008 and say while we are still here playing we will NOT lose to this team under any circumstance. Less than 2 years later Scullys decision is already justified. This club just has no ticker at all. We got walked all over by a team that is so below where we are. Its just disgraceful really.
  13. Yeah i said in hindsight didn't I? I would have picked them 2 at the time as well.
  14. I like it as long as its not in a set time frame like the malthouse/buckley plan was. In Sydney it was always known Longmire was to take over, but it was never set in stone when. Much better like that. The collingwood succession plan was a disaster.
  15. In hindsight Scully and Trengove weren't the best 2 of their draft, but i remember the massive impact they had coming into the side together. If we can find another 2 young midfielders who are AFL ready who knows what can happen.
  16. I think he's got one more crack at getting it right or he'll retire. It's Matthew Egan all over again. Feel so sorry for the bloke. He's a champ!
  17. I really don't think they are being clever. He won't coach us. Clarkson, malt house, Lyon wouldn't come near us, even when we looked like we had the potential. Roos, has had some oppurtnities at much stronger clubs and said no. Why us? The challenge? Could be a career killer if it goes wrong. I just can't see it happening.
  18. He's well built, is hard at the ball. But whatever the opposite of leather poisoning, that's what he's got.
  19. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/demons-coach-makes-an-example-of-agar-20130712-2pu47.html Neil Craig is a breath of fresh air. He's a bit kooky but I love it. No more "we are 7 years away to being competitive". The no limits talk is more inspiring to me.
  20. Just the kind of player that "could" thrive under Roos.
  21. A family member spoke to him last year and his bags were packed, no one saw a future at this club. It's good that there seems to be some hope again at this club.
  22. Great quote from Tommy in the age. ''I was a late draft pick - pick 53 - and I didn't expect to be drafted, but I want to be one of the best players who comes out of that draft,'' he said. ''There were 52 players picked ahead of me and I want to be better than all of them.''
  23. The guy is a [censored] bag. He read a book on Buddhism once and carrys on like he's some sort of philosopher. Also importantly, is only a good footy player when he can play the game on his terms, much like the rest of the collingwood defence.
