  1. I don't think neeld cares where the player was picked in the draft, if you don't fit into the plan, you're out.
  2. With the way compensation was rolled out we would have got pick 500 for bate.
  3. It's funny how Dawes was our primary target last year but we had to "settle" for Mitch. Now we have both players!
  4. Rapt to get hogan. Some aggressive moves this off season already. Hopefully wines at 4. Dawes will prob cost 20 which I think is about right. He's a guaranteed starter. Look at our history of picks around the 20 mark and you will see why it's not paying overs.
  5. I think (hoping) that neeld gave him some roles this year to get a feel of the game and will unleash him into the midfield next season. If this isn't the case I'm really not sure why he drafted him. He's hard and a clearance machine.
  6. We could pick the next cale Morton at 3, or get a 10 year heart and soul player in viney. Paying overs? Compared to clubs who draft well, of course. We have a shocking record at the draft table, I know I'd pick Viney.
  7. Pretty poor if true. How bout work harder to justify why we picked you at no 4.
  8. Time to focus on caddy. But really, who wants to willingly choose to come to our club?
  9. That is true, although I'm sure that with the free agent period open I'm sure other discussions can be happening. IIRC Carlton and Melbourne agreed to the McLean trade before the official opening of trade week.
  10. West coast are offering pick 17. Will we think wellingham at pick 13 is paying overs?
  11. Absolutely huge effort! He's really come on this year. Where he once was always getting caught trying to do too much, some of his work this year has been Elite. Well done jonesy!
  12. BT was an amazing radio commentator. I can't believe how far he has fallen. He's woeful.
  13. We need some players with a serious case of leather poisoning. Of what I've seen of caddy, he gets about 13 touches a game, and butchers the ball. Actually he will fit In perfectly!
  14. They are definitely robots. Lance franklin said we was happy to get the '4 points' after the game on friday night ha.
  15. I think Melbourne wanted either lyon or malthouse, but let's be realistic. We couldn't afford either.
  16. Never been a fan but would play the small forward role much better than anyone else on our list.
  17. I think it's good that we are biting the bullet and declaring we've made a lot of mistakes and cleaning out all these speculative picks that are going nowhere. I would have thought Gysberts would have deserved another chance but there are obviously some work ethic or attitude problems we don't see from the outside.
  18. I scratch my head with Ricky. Was another of our promising players In 2010 that badly stalled.
  19. We have heaps of cash to throw around. That's how.
  20. You are right. He's been here for 5 minutes. Thats why I don't get why people would defend Neeld over a player like Moloney who up until this season was a heart and soul player. How did it all go so wrong with Moloney? Why did Jurrah find it such an easy decision to leave the club?
  21. I do like that he has pretty much gave the entire list another chances this year. He didn't swing the axe last year without having a good look. There will be a lot of players gone this year.
  22. I'm worried about Neeld. With Bailey i always thought we were on the right track, especially 2010 which is why last year was such a shock. This is not to suggest Bailey was the right coach, he obviously wasn't, but I'm yet to see any evidence that we are on the right track with Neeld. If you take away wins against the gimmie expansion teams we have technically won one game this year. ONE GAME. He's had a handful of players who have bought in, a huge number who haven't, some of our better players walking out the door in the space of a few days. I'm willing to support Neeld but my gut feel is he has been a huge mistake.
  23. I have to agree. It seems like Neeld walked into the club and said everything you are doing is wrong, and I'm right so listen to me. I know if that happened in my workplace you wouldn't get much respect. He's man management skills have been questioned since the summer, enough times to be some sort of truth to it.
