  1. WBs a strong line up. Johannesan in the 2s, Hope at least one of our recruits get a run. How many on the bench?
  2. The word is its an O H & S issue. Poorly designed chairs at Cafes ans Coffee shops.
  3. With Hore, Weed and Brown done a one year deal would be worth while. If one of our other talls gets injured we would be knackered. So Majak is worthwhile insurance. I think T Mc can turn his form around this year but not a sure thing. Jackson looks the goods but is still very young. How many spots do we have? Farmer to fill one.
  4. He was in the team pic, that may be a give away concerning intention. Not sure about Deakin Smith. Was he in team pic as well?
  5. Its a big call to select him round 1. He would have to go very well in the praccies. One thing i liked about him when i saw him in an intra at training was his persistent presenting. Rarely kicked to him but he did not drop his head. Just kept presenting, persevering and wanted the ball. Good sign for a 1st year player. Took a good mark.
  6. Unfortunately I could not see who was playing on BB. White jumpers had were not wearing numbers. numbers.
  7. Good summary, i was also there watching from outside leaning up against what resembled prison bars. Petracca gave his all in the intraclub and was knackered when he came off. Jordan featured a few times. Brown at FF looked good. Hibberd in rehab saw him a couple of times. Bowey came off very early before match sim with hopefully only a little niggle. Did not seem bothered by it but went into the rooms for a while. Jackson had an easy day not taking part in the match sim or drills. Had his top off on the way in and has added a good few kilos of muscle. Looks like he is serious about his footy - in serious good shape for his age. TMac has trimmed down but still looks pretty big as he is big framed. Concentrated on ball movement. Looked sharp. Choco took an early drill concentrating on well placed short kicking. Another drill concentrated on moving the ball wide from inside to outside. Rosnan for the white jumpered team kept presenting time after time which was good but other options were taken in the main. His turn will come. Is tall, quick and took a good mark. Overall impressed by what i saw.
  8. Can't find the training schedule. Is there training tomorrow ( 21/1/21) from 9am at Casey open to supporters????
  9. I like the quick switching to outside runners. The next step.
  10. Signings for rookie spots are available until March 9th. Williams will no doubt have a close look from a potential development perspective and a decision will be made one way or the other. Young Kobe will no doubt give it his best shot. Worth a try. Its obvious that we are going all out to get a couple of gun smalls into the team.
  11. The first 2 picks have been part of our plan. Tall forwards with smalls to deliver to talls and crumb. Hopefully our missing links.
  12. We have selected 2 players who will assist correcting our forward scoring connection issues. Sensible well planned picks. Great job Taylor and team.
  13. Very highly skilled. Great pick. Provides a difference and complements our tall forward line.
  14. His games so far have shown he has a great awareness of the game as it evolves around him. Did some great team assistance things up forward. He will be a gun in if he applies himself. It is more likely a case of why waste him in the ruck apart from relief bursts. Rivers also shows a natural game awareness. Last year's recruiting could well be the catalysts that propels us up the ladder. Another gun or 2 this draft would be the cream. The teams that have had ongoing success have always had a couple of unbelievable drafts.
  15. Judd slipped to pick 3 because of his shoulders. Lever and Selwood slipped because of ACL's. Not massive slips for those 3 but 2 reco's up the uncertainty ante for Baldwin. However sometimes you just have to take a punt because the rewards of a win are just to enticing.
  16. I think it was a great move to get 18,19 28. Keeps us in the game. We can use our picks, trade up in this draft or trade back to the 2021 draft. Never know who slips. Maybe we have our eye on a couple of players. Maybe a club is desperate for a player at 18 or 19 and is willing to give up a 2021 1st rounder. I think it's great that the MFC are keeping its options open with good picks.
  17. Having 18 and 19 gives us flexibility. We can use them or trade one or both for futures. If a kid slips and a team desperate for him we may get a great deal for a 2021 pick. We may even have our eye on a couple of kids.
  18. Max list sizes for 2021 are 38 primary and 6 rookies . Lines up with our 2020 list size. Not sure about salary CAP. It will be interesting to see how we use our picks come draft night. Th i shear will see heaps of swaps. We may be hoping a couple of players we like slip.
  19. Yep. Tom will be our back up tall swingman. Every team needs one although usually they come a bit cheaper. No doubt with injuries he will play a few games in 2021.
  20. Our game plan will likely change a bit. Brown will take pressure off Weid and Jackson. He probably will not need to be a big goal kicker to be effective. He may allow Jackson to be a surprise package next year for us. Very tough to cover 3 good talls. I expect our small forwards will be busy crumbing the work of our talls .
  21. Good result for us overall. There must be a plan being hatched. I would say draft night is likely to see a lot of pick trading depending on bids etc. Likely to see players slipping due to lack of exposure etc. SOS on AFL radio said next years draft will be deep. Late developers like Bont and Oliver would be overlooked in a draft like this. I think clubs only have to take one player this draft. So i expect a few will slip. I expect T Mc will be our swingman depth player to cover for injuries to talls Back and /Fwd
  22. .Lets hope the trade gets done tomorow. We usually do not spend to much time pushing peanuts around the trade table. I did not realise Brown's stats compared so well against Cameron. Thanks Demonland for posting them. The Cats are copying the Tigers recruitment of Lynch hoping Cameron will be the difference. Time will tell.
  23. If it was not for Gawn and injury Pruess would have been our 1st ruck choice every week and filled the role admirably. Brown despite Kangas being crap all year could not crack a game. GWS was desperate for a reliable ruckman. We will probably offer up the Pruess pick 31 to Kangas for Brown. More than fair. However Kangas will want more.
