Christian Petracca
Sounding like brand $ influencing traccs decisions. The AFL ticked off our doctors processes. Culture. What is culture. Define it. One player suffering ADHD is hard for that player but the fact that player is now on a good space shows how hard the club worked to assist that player. Should boost the list. Big tick. I hope we trade him and get a fair deal. But we have to play the hard ball game in the meantime.

Christian Petracca
He is only gone only if we get a fair deal. Blues Pick 11,pick 31 and future 1st? Don's pick 8, pick 28 and future 1st? Could be a smokey. They are a pretty big club but no finals- tracc the difference? Blues could trade McKay to Don's. We get the bounty from Blues for Tracc?? May well be if Blues want tracc they have to move on a big money player for cap reasons.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Looking at Twomeys and Rookie me top 30 they are in the main reasonably similar. Most are within 2 or 3 picks of picks. Eg Twomey has Lalor at pick 9, Rookie me at pick 7 The major differences are Twomey - Langford at 3 and Rookie at 10. Twomey has Armstrong (KPF) at 8 , Rookie me has him at 18. Twomey has Shanahan (KPF) at pick 21, Rookie has him at 16 Late in their picks Twomey has Dattol at 29and Sims at 30 - Rookie me not included. Rookie me has Mraz and Jaques at 29 and 30 but no inclusion on Twomeys. So over all fair agreement apart from a few players mentioned above.

He is right no one can nail down the issues. Even Caro who has bagged our handling of many issues cant nail down the issues and questioned whether Tracc could be a bit selfish. I think for us to get a good deal it has to be North. Picks 2 and 20 for starters.
-
Christian Petracca
Tracc is on a long term contract. North would be interested in him for sure. Pick 2 and compo pick 20 for starters. Tracc is 28 and hitting his straps. Tracc can get 2 slices of the pie - gets out of the Dees and gets a local club. We only get one slice of the pie - a live with deal. Still overall balanced in Traccs favour but i can live with it. Contacts = 2 way give and take

The Age is talking McKay. We would also want their 1st round.

Thank you St. Kilda
Plus we will not be effected by saints 1st round compo if it eventuates.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Better not bloody trade it.
-
Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
I would want Crows 2nd round pick circa 27 and their future 3rd round pick to use for our FS and Academy picks in 2025. ANB is clearly better player than McAdam.

Pick 6 in the bag.

HUN article saying Viney will extend

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
HUN article just in. Viney to extend.

Delistings 2024
So far off the list: Smith, Gus, ANB, BB = 4 Talk of Viney going to North. Possibly all up 5. Then others?? Hunter and Schache likely to go?
-
Delistings 2024
Pretty well close. Kentfield may be given an extension. We have pick 7 and ANB pick say early 20's, the Swans 2nd rounder and a pick in the 40's. We should go to the draft IMO. We usually trade up and often use a future pick. No doubt we will consider our FS Yze and Academy Mentha. Care will be taken in using futures due to White and Ah - Mu coming in next year.

Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
He has not announced his retirement so cannot be considered for a 'special' game umtil at least then. My view would be no in any case. We are going with, JVR, Petty and Disco.

Potential Father Son Prospect Noah Yze
Round 14 Coates, Oakleigh Chargers , Round 14, 2024 Scouting Notes: 2024 Coates Talent League - Round 14 - Aussie Rules Rookie Me Central Noah has improved as the season has progressed leading to a couple of games at Casey where he did well. We will pick him up for sure. He looks like he will adapt to a strong defensive forward role like ANB. 7 tackles in his 2nd game at Casey. Lets hope he slips through. #15 Noah Yze Defender/Midfielder | 190cm | 12/04/2006 Stats: 23 disposals, 4 tackles, 6 inside 50s A prospect of intrigue to Melbourne fans as a father-son this year, Yze produced arguably his best game to date. The versatile 190cm prospect started in defence and was then thrown into midfield as a good size matchup for the likes of Josh Smillie and Oliver Greeves. His strength was evident when tackling, while also absorbing contact well and looking quite comfortable in the clinches. Overall, he performed solidly in both roles and held his own against handy opposition.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
I agree the club have taken a cautious approach and decided to give him a couple of VFL seasons and another pre season. If we were a bottom club he would have played but i support our clubs position to ease him in. Also Goody has made it clear in a few post game pressers that he intends to play JVR, Petty and Turner. That looks like it may well work out well. If we can squeeze Jeffo in next season we may be able to move Petts or Disco back?

Thought i would seek another opinion" and asked co pilot for fun - takes the emotion out: is christian petracca discontented with the demons " Christian Petracca’s feelings within the Melbourne Demons have been a topic of discussion. While there have been reports suggesting frustration, the club’s CEO, Gary Pert, has emphasized that Petracca is a valuable member integral to the club’s future1. Despite a disappointing season and injuries, the Demons maintain confidence in their star midfielder2. Rest assured, Petracca remains committed to the Demons until the end of his contract in 20293. 🏉🔴🔵"

Use our 1st rounder in this draft for start. We need to add to our number of young potential elite players.

Until Tracc or his manager asks for a trade then its speculation and unverified gossip. If he does ask for a trade then the answer is no unless a deal is to good to be true. The footy world will make of it what they will. Footy commentators are not bound by fact. They are permitted to express opinions and they do this primarily to feather their own nests. In any case they say time heals. The biggest cop out of all time was Tim Watson saying do not believe any Tracc denials. You just cannot win. quote from interview: " Petracca also addressed reports that his family had become frustrated with the Melbourne Football Club. Although he denied those reports, he admitted there was some “degree of frustration” just in general as some acquaintances were prevented from seeing him and kept in the dark. “During the situation, it was heightened emotion for everyone — not just my family, but my fiancée and myself,” he said." Hmmm, he may have pre arrangements ok'd by the club? We do not know? In any case if he has an issue with the club no doubt he will move on from it in due course. The steps the Dees took with his injury were ticked off by the AFL. If there was fault it was with the standard practices used by clubs. I believe they have been changed now and players are required to get internal scans.

Tracc may not be able to fly due to his condition. Jumping to conclusions without knowing the facts is exactly what the media are doing.

Where is the evidence Tracc requested a trade? Without evidence its just footy pub talk and thugish journalism. Are they saying they know for a fact? No - pub talk. The Dees followed all the right processes which was ticked off by the AFL. Cant do any more than that. Tracc is contracted and that is it. What is culture? Define it? I wish Goody would ask that question of the interviewer when asked. We have had many games where the team has had the most 22 and under players. I think we have done ok and are building. It will all blow over in due course.
