Sillier things have happened particularly in the current climate where most teams are trying to bolster their ruck/KPF stocks. As insurance Fitzy is not out of the question (and it paid dividends for the Hawks last year having a contingency plan)!
-
Frost?
-
Sounds plausible until you realise the ruck/forward is intended as Watts not Pedo! Let's hope that with another pre-season Weideman can be a the CHF and Frost can be a ruck/backman allowing Watts to continue to develop his game with Hogan.
-
Maybe now, with AFL ownership, they will have a massive incentive to schedule the highest-drawing teams there (Bulldogs, Bombers, Blues, Kangas, Saints) rather than us!

Demonland Crystal Ball 2017: Your predictions for next season

Garlett back to his best and JKH to star in the opposing pocket! -
Should we still be selling games interstate?

I would take a NT game anytime rather than have to play a "Home Game" against St Kilda at Etihad! -
Best draw in years! A Friday night at the "G" and no Etihad home game!

Interesting how you show more confidence in the forward line than the backs, whereas I have it the other way around: With the insertion of Hibberd and Melksham and improvement in Frost, O.Mac, and Bugg, plus the known quality of Jetta and T.Mac, I see a solid back half with Garland, Wagner, White and Pedo as back up (even if we don't see the return of a consistent HL). Similarly, with the addition of Lewis to our continually improving midfield, I see us going to another level this year and being able to match any midfield going around once, Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Salem, Tyson and Brayshaw take their game to another level. And of course there is the mighty Gawn and Hunt and Stretch providing outside run. The forward half is where I am not so optimistic. Watts had an exceptional year but frankly I was disappointed with the inconsistency of Garlett and the fact that Hogan did not seem to take his game to the next level. Kent and Harmes showed some exciting moments but we need to see it for four quarters. Your suggestion that we mighten see Weideman or Hulett achieving their potential until 2018 is a worry as Hogan and Watts need support this coming year and we don't know what Garlett and JKH are going to deliver. As it stands, our destiny rests on a massive improvement from our forward half. It would be nice to see a massive pre-season so that we can have a good crack in 2017 before Jones, Lewis or Vince come off their peak. Top four is possible > Over to Mr Goodwin!

Lynden Dunn to be in Collingwood's top 22.
-
According to the AFL website: Lynden Dunn is Fullback in Collingwood's best 22; Chip Frawley is Fullback in Hawthorn's best 22; Kyle Cheney is in Adelaide's best 22; Steph Martin is Ruck in Brisbane's best 22;

Fullback in Collingwood's best 22 (according to the AFL website)!

I hate Etihad even though I went there last year to see us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (against St. Kilda)! The Mountain View Hotel, with fellow Dees fanatics and a bottle of red for mine! Dees for a convincing win!

As a final word on the MCC/MFC membership there is a small proportion of MCC (so-called) Demon supporters who are too lousy to take out the add-on MFC membership despite the modest cost. The MCC/MFC members as a group are generally a passionate bunch and hold these others in disdain.
-
It's a special category as MCC members automatically gain admission to all games at the G (for which they pay handsomely)! They don't need the same entitlements as other MFC categories (such as admission to home games) so in many respects their MFC membership is effectively a donation.

What has been the most important aspect of the post season?
CBDees replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nobody from our top 22 requesting to be traded out (unlike every other Club)! -
MCC members who nominate Melbourne as their team are NOT included in the MFC membership tally (unless they pay a MFC membership subscription)! All the MCC does for the MFC is that it provides the facility to pay both Club memberships at the one time. MCC members get nothing for nothing.

In the past, we (along with other clubs) have lost star players (such as $cully and Chip) to rival clubs for either dollars or Premiership opportunities. This year we are the only Club not to have lost a top 22 player whilst we for the first time have been approached by top 22 players (Hibberd & Lewis) from other Clubs. We may be shy of a kpf/ruckman, but anything can happen. In the light of this, the biggest surprise is Prestia seeing a future in Richmond. What was his manager thinking?
-
The only reason I hat "they did a little better" is because we started the trade period with a solitary second round pick.
-
No problems with the above team however, I suggest the following: Emergencies: Melksham, Trenners, Vanders Also l suspect that after the pre-season we might have assess whether Weideman or Pedersen is our best key forward.
-
Lynden is the General of the Casey backline and, along with Garland, played a large part of their minor Premiership this year. As such, he had a critical role in the development of Wagner, O.Mac, Frost, White in addition to those on the Casey list. Unless we get a realistic proposal from Collingwood which benefits MFC, CaseyFC and Dunn, we should keep Dunn on our list where he currently provides value.
-
With Mohr from Casey!
-
And paying 100% of his salary!
-
Frankly I would rather see Dunn go anywhere else than the filth, especially if we could do a deal with Brisbane, GWS or the Suns, and gain something back in return (like Rockcliff, or another pick player). Worst case ever would be if Dunn ended up at the Pies with us subsidising his salary!
-
Still rather see Dunny join Steph Martin in Brissie (as part of a trade for Rockcliff). I hate the idea of him going to Collingwood and even moreso if we have to pay part of his salary for him to get to the filth!
