Whilst we have signalled our want for an inside ball winner. I still hold out hope we will get Olly Wines next year. Therefore I would be happy to have an player like Aish, who may need more time, come into our side if he was available at pick 9. He was classed as the best midfielder available for some time.. Asked his manager on draft day "what do I do now?" after being drafted, in reference to playing in Victoria. Manager told him in 2 years he can go wherever he wants.. Not signing a contract extension for a reported 400k definitely makes you wonder what he's thinking??.. I hope he comes to the Demons, but I think he is to loyal and will stay with port. Very respectable young man...

Wrong approach.. You should be looking at our bottom tier best 22 players stepping it up.. It's these players that are going to bring us into top 8 contention.. Eg.. Evans - Avg 20 Disposals and 1 goal a game. Tapscott - Shuts down opposition forward each week. Kent - Kicks 35 goals as forward pocket.. Michie - Avg 28 Disposals and 1 goal a game Jamar - back to AA form Howe - 40-50 goals McDonald - AA CHB Trengove - Avg 30 disposals If things like the above happen, the 8 players you mentioned should lift their game regardless.. You're only as good as your bottom players.. need the whole team to step up..

Earlier in the year, it was a resounding yes, but clubs remain nervous about drafting the silky midfield-forward from WA. On talent, he might be top-15. A smooth-moving outside runner who has shades of Harley Bennell, kicking almost 50 goals in the WAFL seniors this year. But defensively he can be poor and many clubs, such as West Coast, have again put a line through his name. In our view, he is worth taking the chance, at a strong club, with a late pick. There will be lots of busts from this year's draft. His best chance might be at Geelong or Hawthorn.

It's driving me crazy

Living on hope.. But its likely GWS will have another year where they manage under 4 wins, and unlikely they have a breakout year like the Gold Coast just have.. I wonder how many of Dom's buddies at GWS might become tired of losing and want to return home? If the Dees' can turn the corner this year and win more game, we could be looking like a pretty prospect. Let's hope they think about coming back and playing with their old mate Dom...

Could we possibly get Shiel and Buntine or Bugg for pick 2? They can keep 9.. I hope we play hard ball, seems like GWS really want pick 2.

Look at the positive here, if Bugg is good mates with Shiel.. We take Bugg, Buntine and pick 9 now. Then next year when Bugg talks about how good it is back in Melbourne, Shiel is coming out of contract and nominates Melbourne as his preferred club of choice. And we offer him a large amount of cash.. Question, when is Shiel contracted til??
