  1. Trelly hands it off to Kozzy who nails a pinpoint pass to JVR in the left forward pocket. JVR absolutely shanks the snap. Expletives follow.
  2. Boys have now donned pink or white bibs and habe split into three groups and are playing a game of keepings off. Handpass to players wearing the same coloured bib while the other colour applies pressure. May wraps Trelly up with a big bear tackle. Welcome to AFL footy young man!
  3. Lever looks fit and over his ankle issues. Moving freely. Boys are currently working on a some quick transition drills. Handpass to a moving player who kicks it to a player on the lead. Once they mark it they handpass it and so on. All and all, nice skills on show. Not too many flubbed kicks. Both Taylor and Trelly Pickett know how to find a chest. Nice skills on show.
  4. Tommy Matthews also doing some work on the boundary
  5. Just arrived and Jeffo is indeed training with the main group. Bowey and McAdam running along the boundary. EDIT: not sure if it's been touched on before, but it looks like AMW is also in full training EDIT EDIT: Now AMW is doing some individual drills. Might not be quite ready ready yet but doesn't look far away.
  6. One of my favourite bands of late. Power-pop with Beatles/Beach Boys influences.
  7. Great reports folks. Hoping to get down for Wednesday's session.
  8. Kinda surprised Brody Mihocek chose not to continue in the #41. It's certainly available now that Kynan Brown is no longer on the list.
  9. Kalani looked a bit lost in his first VFL outing (understandable) until the final quarter where he kicked two goals and took some important marks around the ground. Definitely showed enough to suggest there's something to work with.
  10. Take it with a grain of salt, but my mate (who knows a lot more about the draft than me) just messaged me, and said that had it not been for injury, Matthews would've been rated as the best small forward prospect of this year's crop.
  11. I imagine we'll leave that spot on our list open for a SSP signing in the lead up to the season.
  12. Yibbida yibbida, that's all folks We are done.
  13. Crows have passed. We're on the clock. Greeves and NHH still on the board. Would love it if we look at Fred Rodriguez
  14. While I've loved how we've addressed our small forward issues and have picked up a readymade McVee replacement, it'd be nice if we picked up a mid with this upcoming pick (should we choose to pick).
  15. Or so he says!
  16. We'll only select Kalani tonight if he's bid on by another club. Otherwise we'll take him in the rookie draft I think.
  17. Our next picks are listed as 56 and 58. Are we done for the night? Or do we package them up to another club for something in next year's draft?
  18. Love this pick. This guy alongside Disco are going to hold down our defense for the next decade. With his leg speed, I could even see him playing further up the ground in time.
  19. Have only just watched the draft replay on Kayo and was shook to my core that we selected LSP with our second pick. Alongside Taylor, I really like these picks. LSP and Taylor will hopefully allow both Kozzy and Rivers to rack up more midfield minutes next season.
  20. I rate Farrow but can't help but feel a bit 'iffy' about potentially drafting another WA prospect. On the plus side, it'll be fun watching commentators get themselves tripped up between Farrow and Sparrow.
  21. Would Duursma still be a top 3 pick if he was part of last year's draft?
  22. This is the first time in a few years where I genuinely have no idea who we're selecting. Pretty sure we were linked to both Windsor/Tholstrup and Langford/Lindsay at this stage over the last couple of drafts. Cal Twomey's phantom draft is traditionally pretty on the money in regards to his knowledge and Intel. I'll be interested to see what direction he thinks we'll go.
  23. King: "You didn't have to come back (from Noosa)" CJ: "Mate, I'm always coming in first day of pre-season" Love CJ already. Hope he smashes it next season.
  24. Really getting sick of the 'Melbourne need a key forward' narrative that's being regurgitated by the media. If any of the 'experts' out there actually watched us this year (although to be fair, I can understand why they probably didn't), they'd see that we need more midfield depth, outside run and probably another small forward. Our scoring woes have much more to do with our midfield connection than it does with anything in the forward half. Unless the club has totally given up on the likes of JVR and Jeffo, drafting another young key forward would only stall the development of the ones we already have on the list.
