When a side loses or has a bad trot, the tendency is to hyper-value those that are not in the side. That is not an understatement. Remember it was the experience of Jordan Lewis and Bernie Vince that cost us early doors? Then it was Hogan.... Gawn (which is obviously massive) We would have won if he played....... This is Demonland, not fields or SEN....I hope.

Bevo would play him behind the ball. Jason Dunstan would have made an ordinary HBFlanker.

I remember Lenny Hayes coming back from his ACL after a year out, and said it took time and practice (bump-bags) to get used to physical contact again. If it applies to Lenny, it can apply to anyone. For me he looks like his tank is half-empty and/or he is slightly overweight. Many are writing him off. I aint, but not with supreme confidence. Kent really is a Jake Stringer type. In the past 18 months, Stringer has gone missing quite a bit...and bobbed up. Bevo uses the raging bull behind the ball as well. I hope we don't type-cast Kent into a HFF. His speed and mass will allow him to not only break a line, but smash it. Something aint quite right. He will be dropped this week I reckon. First, he needs to look at himself; second fill the tank; and down the track, coaching staff need to explore his potential as more than a HFFker. I'm sticking fat for now, but Clark, FFS get out of that take away store and swap those crystals. pTGR

Who is this guy? Dennis bloody Pagan. Look at Dangerfield and his media policy.

...Kent. One player I rated and bought up big. He is my Biota purchase, but a decade later, I am waiting for a bird flu epidemic. Last half yesterday, he could have ran through once or twice, but just pulled up. Is he scared of getting rubbed out? Or is he carrying 12 broken ribs? He has the unique gift of speed and mass. About time he used it, even at the risk of getting rubbed out. pTGR

Motivation needs to come from within. A team that needs motivation week in week out; has a huge problem.
-
I wish most of our supporters had the long-term vision and patience with this guy; rather than the quick SEN-type dumb conclusion-jumping carp that captaincy killed him.
-
Would Reid command 750k? In my book Reid's wage plus Lewis's wage = Fyfe's. Fyfe can do anything Reid can do forward. And we know what he can do in the tardis. The Saints are coming.

I'm kidding myself. If not for Josh Caddy, this guy would be the most overrated player in the comp full stop. Loses his feet; plays for frees; out the back all the time. We don't need downhill skiers on 600k.
-
Gee wiz, MFC attracting a player with speed has been the: - exception (Garlett) - not the rule - (Vince, Melksham, Lewis, Tyson....) Stretch isn't doing enough at this early stage, and Garlett doesn't line-break through a defence; but rather Garlett is great out the back. We have over-dosed on inside strength, and have an under-supply of line-breaking outside speed from D50. Jones will be considered, irrespective of family.

I thought he wouldn't make it after a few games. Well done Neville. Who would have thought that they refer to Lewis as 'Neville's cousin'.
-
I agree. All I am saying is that most of us have overrated him.
-
In April 2016 he doubted his body type for the modern game. I disagree with Lethal in that he does lead long, but I reckon Lethal doesnt rate his change of direction; and hence his use of angles; nor his capability to produce repeated short burst leading in F50 that opens space behind him. Components of the Hogan package impress me; but the Hogan package itself doesn't. Something is missing in my book....and Lethal's.

Not complete. I can't see 'Sooks per game' Daniher is more a multidimensional mobile tall for me. Yes he will have the yips at the set shot, but I like his leap, pace, versitility. That win against us a year ago, he tore us to shreds, unlike Riewoldt who got out on his own for a few cheapies that have been over-glorified IMO.
-
I think Lethal summarised Watts perfectly after his first game... Having said that, nobody deserves success like JW. I think Lethal summed up Hogan perfectly too a year or two ago.
-
I thought I cashed in on selling Hogan at a high price to many of you. When all of you salivated squared. Done the same with Jordan Lewis. You guys are Alan Bond with rose coloured glasses. Kerry Packer said there was only one Alan Bond transaction in a lifetime; not here. Lynch and Daniher have flown past him...I think that is well accepted. Hogan will have his days, but only when the moons align. Can't build a flag tilt around that. pTGR

Wasn't Nixon at all. Apparently some schoolgirl stole his phone, clothes and access pin.

If we get half a year of OK footy, that is more than I predicted. The game has passed him by. No pace. No tricks forward as a superannuation. His suspension against Carlton overshadowed numerous losing of the feet. Can't believe that a majority of our supporters hailed this decision to give a 3 year deal to him. Mitchell and Lewis had great years last year, but Hawthorn got pulverised in contested ball and clearances. Leadership experience whatever. Bulldogs didn't really need it last year. Small sample size yes, but they didn't need it.

He is a sook. Lucky to kick his last one after he stopped and whinged.... Our mids busted their backsides. Maybe the darts stopped him presenting a few times for our needed bail-out kicks in the last?

Dunstall wanted Hogan thrown in ruck. Another commentator (7) questioned why we threw a number behind the ball in the 2nd quarter after dominating. Personally, he has coached 5 games, and it's hard to play chess when many of your pieces are injured, especially ruck one and two. Gallant as Watts was, he was so buggered he couldn't even contest many ruck contests in the last quarter. Only problem with the way we played in the last is that we favoured stoppage footy (kick out wide and long) when the avalanche was coming. Roos reckons Frost will be first ruck next week. Would you trade Brayshaw for Stef Martin in a hypothetical mid season trade? I sound like a numb dumb SEN commentator so ignore that last proposal.
-
No team should win with 19 v 21 after quarter time. 2 talls and our 2nd ruck included. Then you had Petracca and Viney on one leg...so it was 17.5 v 21. Fact that Richmond were lucky to get over us in the end says more about them than us. Massive effort by our guys tonight.
-
On one leg tonight. Showed mental toughness to stay on and contribute. I can understand the hype about Trac...unlike the Hogan hype. See him sook and stop after the umpire missed his free?
-
Effort and guts is 99% of what we have prayed for. Class is permanent. He will shine through. Nervous nellies are pointing to appointments. What a simplistic get out.

Big difference between SD & HD; so on that basis, we are unlucky. This could have easily been a fox only game (due to spread of days), so on that basis, we are lucky.
