  1. 2,3,40, 42(Stretch), 53. rookies 2 & 20 (Evans) Added ... Lamumba, Gartlett, Frost, Newton, Jetta (upgrade) Hopefully... 2-Angus Brayshaw 3-Pat McCartin 40-Ed Langdon (as Oscar Mcdonald is likely to be unavailable) 42-Billy Stretch 53-Nathan Drummond rookies- 2-Tom Wilkinson 20-Michael Evans (rookie)
  2. Rookie chance... hopefully in red and blue.He is a chance. Tough. Skilled.
  3. No. If Evans is delisted (which I agree with) then pick 53 is in play. Next pick is then for Jetta upgrade. draft #2,3,40,53 plus rookie draft #2, 20. I agree all the Bailey & Neeld sins are being addressed.
  4. I like Billy Evans as a smokie. Tough Scott Selwood type from the Bendigo Pioneers. His problem was his leadership and willingness to help the team. Skipper of the pioneers. Probably pick 25-35 mid year then drifted to late pick by close of year. He is a perfect half back / inside mid. Think Jed Adcock also. If not pick 53, then a rookie #2 selection.
  5. Welcome pick 40 ... Unfortunately with Dom Barrys departure. I think Evans & JT stay on the playing list and we use 2 rookie selections.
  6. Yes I think the demands of AFL life can take it tolls. Our recruiting of Dom after being in the Ballarat school system appeared less risk than being from NT to adjust to Melbourne city living. Unfortunately now with Wona, Jurrah & Barry leaving, our indigenous NT playing stocks are zero. Wish Dom all the best.
  7. Ed Langdon would be handy and is profiled on AFL website. My call is still Jackson Neilson, Touk Miller, Nathan Drummond or Oscar Mcdonald... depending in availability of course.
  8. Nakia Cockatoo... the unlikely #3 may be becoming more likely by the day. Watch the highlights again. He is Judd crossed with Burgoyne. A punt ... yes. A risk worth taking ... yes.
  9. Melbourne 18.9.117 def Gold Coast 15.10.100 Goals: Hogan 4, Kent 3, Dawes 2, McCartin 2, Gartlett 2, Howe, Newton, Watts, Tyson, Toumpas. Best: Tyson, N Jones, Viney, Lamumba, Hogan, Howe. If only...
  10. Could he ... possibly... maybe even ... be a remote chance at pick 3. Yes he played one game but this kid has the talent. bazinga for cockatoo at 3. !!!
  11. I will be rapt if its #2 Angus Brayshaw #3 Pat McCartin #40 Jackson Nelson
  12. One player who I had around 30 seems to have slipped and may be a draft bonus. Jackson Nelson from the Geelong Falcons. 187 cms running tall half back. Great skills. Agile. Good pace. Good build. Easily kicks it 50. Kicks well on his opposite (left) foot. I would have had him in the frame at #23 even. He could be a Mundy like midfielder even down the track From the AFL Draft site he is listed as 30-70 range and some phantoms have him 50-60. He would be a draft steal IMO at #40.
  13. Let's aim for Ben Newton ... I am expecting big things from him in 2015. Will make an impact right away IMO.
  14. Angus Brayshaw is a very very very good player. Star qualities in many ways. Mfc draft #2 pick ... lock it in.
  15. Likely that either Evans or JT will move to rookie list. IMO any of the following players like Gore, Drummond, Wilkinson, Langdon would be worth it.
  16. Nathan Drummond looks ideal selection at #40. 19yo (20 in January'15) 181cms 84kgs Physically mature Good pace Beep test shows endurance and quickness versatile mid / small Hbf Shepparton boy Ex Melbourne Grammar
  17. Likely either JT or Evans will be dropped to rookie list to enable pick 40.
  18. Yes Ed Langdon would be handy. I thought he would be 25-30 so if he slides, MFC would snap him up.
  19. and smoky Lukas Webb, Gippsland, Brad Green-like med HFF goalkicker.
  20. All, it looks like Oscar Mcdonald has done a Zac Jones and exceeded expectations this year. From a possible draftee, it seems he may be in the 20-30 draft range. The irony is that GWS may select him at pick 23 !! For pick 40 on current estimates and phantoms, I think we can look at - Nathan Drummond, Bushrangers, 19yo utility speedster - Dean Gore, Sth Aust, tough inside mid. - James Rose, Sth Aust, highly skilled, tall mid/HFF - Daniel Mckenzie, Oakleigh, athletic tall mid. - Tom Wilkinson, Sandringham, rapidly improved, pacy wing/HFF
  21. Bazinga !!!!! Newton is a very good acquisition... ready to play.
  22. Putting JT on the rookie list now, allows us to use #40 in the draft. Allows us a Oscar Mcdonald, Nathan Drummond or Tom Wilkinson selection. JT is unlikely to play in 2015 & needs the time. But it should be advised we will promote JT back once he is medically fit to play post 2015.
  23. Agree ... Duggan is a lock at pick 10-12.
