  1. Hogan is my one salvation for 2013. He gives me "Hope". From watching us versus the kangas, I had very little left from that group of 22.
  2. "At the moment, there isn't anyone on the market worthy of pick 2". Agree 100%. I would take Dominic Sheed right now as pick 2. I have been super impressed, and shows real STAR power.

  4. Clem Smith will be a STAR. I hope the AFL says "MFC" have access to the best player in 17y bracket not eligible for the draft. ie. either select or trade away for a pick in this draft. Eagles would jump at Smith and offer say pick 9. HMMM.

  6. Forget this rubbish about Cale Morton. DOM SHEED IS A SERIOUSLY VERY GOOD PLAYER. Watch him play. He wins the footy, he is tough. Has good speed. He takes on the game. Loves a goal. Tackles. Clean hands. Ticks all the boxes. And a good leader.
  7. Josh Kelly is almost a mirror of Tom Scully. Will be a good player because of his skills and ability to run & run. But he is slight and does not possess ability to get the hard contested footy. More like a pick 5-6 for the Saints. We need a Dunstan or Sheed, as a tough ballwinner.
  8. Zak Jones can seriously play. Its a YES from me. 3rd round pick - pick #40 ish. He has good build, run and would be a creative, tough, half back that we lack. Jonesy brother would be a good acquisition.
  9. We had our chance to grab Rory Sloane as a youngster, interviewed him, almost promised a spot if he was available at our pick 35. Then we picked Jamie Bennell (recruiting gaff # 17...F%$#&). Sloane went to Adelaide and his family was extremely disappointed. He is good but not worth a pick 2 trade.
  10. rubbish thread Mitch Clark still is not even 50% fit for a comeback we need Chris Dawes Dawes is a true leader - trade? you are mad 25, size, strength, contested mark, goalkicker, gives 100% No chance Chris Dawes will be traded shut down this thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!! non constructive. non likely

  13. agree, Chris Michaelides is best option in VFL. If we look at a rookie type, Todd Banfield from Lions is off-side in Brisbane but has pace and great goal sense.
  14. Daniel Cross. 2 year deal. But I think he would be a monty if he walks, that he would look to go to a top 6 team searching for a premiership. Essendon would be my likely destination.

  16. Howe has huge upside and would excel in a "Hogan" fwd line. He MUST be a keeper. Plus he is exciting. he keeps the kids supporting the Dees
  17. Forget Adams ... GWS or bound to return home to Geelong Horsley - no Liam Anthony - 26yo. ready to go. .. Yes as a PSD#2 option only. Not a trade pick. He GETS the footy and often. Too good for VFL (regularly stars as 30 possessions and influential). Other options: Jarryd Lyons (Crows)- 20yo. Ruckrover. From Sandringham. Squeezed out by Crows mids, Thompson, Sloane, Dangerfield, Vince.etc. Psd #2 Mav Weller - 21 yo- young talented rover. Squeezed out by Ablett, OMeara, Bennell, Prestia etc Psd#2
  18. Rodan is on the very edge ... just hanging on. His last few games will be critical to whether he is adding value or will be delisted.
  19. In: Strauss, Magner / Grimes (if fit) Out: Dunn, Blease
  20. Coach - Mark "Chocco" Williams Draft: Jesse Hogan to be promoted/eligible. James Magner - promoted rookie #2 Dominic Sheed or Luke Dunstan - both will be stars #20 Billy Hartung - fast skilled small midfielder #40 Zak Jones - . Brother of Nathan Jones. Good skilled, hard HBF. #58 Ryley Hall - midfield - B&F winner Gippsland 2013, playing in Cats in VFL side and hard at it. Jarryd Lyons (Crows) or Liam Anthony (Kangas) or Mitch Hallahan (Hawks) .... midfield addition Matthew Jaensch (Crows) or Todd Banfield to come in as the small forward options Rookies: Mitch Gent (Casey) midfield - proven ballwinner, Dan Noonan (Port melb) FB - very impressive This toughens out our midfield. Priority # 1. Adds tough nuts in Hall & Jones. Adds a proven small fwd goalkicker. Out (8): Bail, Nicholson, Rodan, Gillies, Sellar, Spencer, Joel Macd, Davis (Byrnes hangs in as he has a 2-yr contract)
  21. Mitchell Hallahan #38 Hawthorn Hawks Age: 20yr 10mth Games: 0 Born: August 23, 1992 Height: 183cm Weight: 84kg Position: Midfield Drafted: Round 2, Pick #38 2010 National Draft Draft Bio: Tough inside player (and former amateur boxer) from the Dandenong Stingrays who boasts a penetrating right foot kick. He wins one-on-one contests and is highly-disciplined. Earned All-Australian selection after the 2010 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, after an excellent campaign where he averaged 20 disposals at 66 per cent efficiency with an average of five tackles. The Hawks see some similarities with emerging Richmond star Dustin Martin. 3 years on hawks list. Missed 2011 with injury but came back in 2012 and starred late in the year with some BOG games. Cannot crack a game in 2013 hawks outfit given Lewis, Mitchell, Hodge, Sewell & Whitecross all ahead of him. He should be offered a deal by MFC and a crack in our midfield. He again is starring for the Box Hill Hawks and at 20 would be a good get. Either PSD #2, or trade as a straight swap for Rohan Bail or Daniel Nicholson.
  22. agree 200% ... MFC MUST go for Sheed and/or Dunstan (and Scharenberg) as they are ready to go. Ahead of the skinny but highly skilled Aish, Kelly, Billings.
  23. Agree. Luke Dunstan will be a STAR. I favour Dominic Sheed (WA) slightly over Dunstan but would be happy with either (ecstatic if we got both Dunstan and Sheed). Dunstan is tough, solidly built, good LF kick, 185cms, 84kgs. All the attributes.
