2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
@Pennant St Dee yes like to see how SVR goes. He had a few ānearlyā games in the championships. Got his hands to marks but could not quite hold them. Thought he might not get picked in the draft. Needs more gym time obviously but imv could still be a potential rookie for the Dees. Imagine the double Roooeeeyyyy from the crowd !!!

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
@Pennant St Dee Yes thatās why i used the term āpotentialā A graders in my post. I wouldnāt subscribe to all but often you find itās not just the top 10 (though more likely) that go on to be the very best. I do like Hardeman for his hard running, physical style of play and yes his delivery. Wouldnāt mind adding him if we had a pick around the 20ish mark. His footskills are very good and has the Rivers type intensity for a half back. Obviously lots of AFL manipulation, trade and pick swaps and complex sudoku numbers to go before we know our likely draft picks.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
From media reports, looks like 1-Eagles Harley Reid 2- Suns (Academy match) Jed Walter 3-Kangas Coby Mckercher 4- Kangas (Mckay gift compensation š¤¬) Daniel Curtin 5- Hawks Zane Duursma 6- Bulldogs (trade from Suns) Ryley Sanders 7- Dees ⦠options left would be ⦠bid on Ethan Read (Suns to match) ⦠then choice of Caddy, Watson, Wilson or OāSullivan. Right now Iād be picking Darcy Wilson as a running creative goalkicking mid. Love to see how we can grab that Suns pick.

Todd Goldstein
Itās an obvious NO.

Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job
We love the OOZEEEE Quality bloke and has earned his chance Dee should be a good option for the Dees or get McQualter as the new assistant coach š¤£š¤£

Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
Yes. I agree. Tom Fullerton on a 3 year deal. Could carry the load to assist Gawn and also play forward when needed. Has the physical ability and knows how to use his strength. Wouldnāt be a high cost imv.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Agree @BaliDemon Mckercher is exactly the type of player that the Dees need. Skills. Pace. Excellent Decision maker. Goalkicker. Heās a gun. Doubt he gets to pick 6 because Kangas, Hawks and Suns pick (whoever gets it) will be seeing Mckercher as a key target to pick. We need to somehow get that GC pick.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Kade Herbert impressed me for SA under 18s in brief display during the championships. Will see how he goes in this. Strong midfield runner with goalkicking ability. May not be top 5 or 6 but likely still to be a 1st rounder.

Ruck roulette
The Power announced three other list changes this week but ruck duo Scott Lycett and Sam Hayes are yet to re-sign with the club, with Port Adelaide also interested in Richmond premiership player Ivan Soldo. Matt Flynn and Braydon Preuss ā are out of contract and could land at new homes during October's trade period. Jordon Sweet has already requested a trade to Port Adelaide, Todd Goldstein is expected to depart Arden Street for Essendon, while Gettable reported last month Matt Flynn has been pursued by West Coast this year. DELISTED Port Adelaide tall Brynn Teakle is on the radar of a few clubs who are searching for a back-up ruckman this off-season. The 23-year-old was cut by the Power on Tuesday following six games after arriving at Alberton via the 2022 Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Jackson Hateley delisted by the Crows. Seemed to be a talented youngster in his draft year. What has happened? Maybe like others he had talent but not a ready spot. A good league player but on the fringe at AFL level. Not a midfielder and not a forward. Perhaps heās like Jordon. A 23-28 ranked player on the fringes only for depth.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Yes was set for 2023 and then the Blues recruited Acres and picked up Ollie Hollands. Now is 5th in line and also Blues have Binns. Natural wing player but played out of position. May not get a look in for 2024. Lingers and Hunter stay in ā24 and we have Howes and Woey jnr as future wing types so Carroll wouldnāt get greener pasture at MFC. If we had any interest, Dees should contact manager but wait for end of 2024 and pickup as an out of contract player on the cheap.

Hot Future Forwards
Ratogalea !! I think he was nominating Power as his intended destination. Not sure why but they want a KPB to compliment Allir or KPF to replace Dixon.
-
Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
Itās JVR and Petty (hopefully fit) for Round 1 2024 and the club will invest in Jeffersonās development. Given Schache scratches out another contract for a year shows how the club is desperate in KPF requirement. I think Tmcd and BBB are probably finished but have contracts so itās a wait and see.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
That would be good. Ridiculous if the supposed NGA process is manipulated to gift Sanders to the Roos. Sanders reminds me of Sam Walsh in his draft year. Whilst Sanders and Mckercher are a long term risk due to being from Tassie, they are both high quality Mids that have class and are the elite type Mids we desperately need. Both would be ready to debut within the 1st half of 2024 imv. Either would be great with pick 5/6.

2024 Opening Round Team
Iāll wait until late November post all the trade and draft process is fully completed.
