Splitting Draft Pick 3
Hopefully the Jenkins signing means pick 6 and Finlayson just got traded to Melbourne for 3

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Lachie Ash.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Agreed, they're going all in they might throw up some hail marys to try and land some guns from other clubs, if not i'd be grabbing Young and then one of Flanders or Ash at 8

Splitting Draft Pick 3
It's certainly bold. but i've personally been keen on swapping our 2020 pick for something this year, just because next year is nearly a write off.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Heavily compromised draft in 2020 so our first rounder then is probably worth 10 spots later than it actually falls. so say it's 10 you're looking at it as 20, 26 and 50 for 8 in a MUCH stronger draft

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
I agree, and fairly comfy with losing on points given next years draft is heavily compromised before free agency even gets into it. a couple more young guns added to our young core i think is the go.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
were keen to split pick 3 but it sounds like we were only willing to do it for a really good deal. Not sure about our capacity to target a star in terms of cap room I still think we might split it with the Giants for pick 6 and a player. if we could go to the draft with 6 and 8 and get say Finlayson, Caldwell, Daniels to go with it

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
If we're as keen on Anderson as i reckon we are maybe we could send 3 and 8 to the Suns for 2 and 15

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Young and Ash sounds perfect to me, speed, good kicks, outside class and Young is a good intercept player. releases Salem up the ground further

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
the biggest thing for me is the nature of the 2020 draft. very likely the most compromised draft in AFL history. even if they get say pick 8 again next year, it's probably only worth say pick 20 any other year

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Throw them both at the Giants for Lachie Whitfield sounds alright to me.

Young at pick 3 Ash or Flanders at pick 8. geez. that'd be a good result.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I Bloody hope so! we're robbing them if it is, i don't think there will be 8 good players in next years draft

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I have heard a few people say the Giants would be keen on Serong if they got the opportunity so assuming that's true, i wonder if that means he's our preference over Young, Ash, Kemp

Ben King
Selfishly not happy, but this would have to be nearly the biggest and most significant re-signing in the suns history.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Nah, Langdon is an incredible endurance runner, extremely consistent, and does everything you'd want an elite outside player to do, just has iffy disposal at times

James Aish
100% yes on Phillips. only consideration is what they want in return.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Young intercepting is something that i think should really appeal, outside of his kicking if you look at the Tigers backline, they're all guns at peeling off and taking intercept marks and then punishing teams. Young and Lever when he's up and going could be serious weapons in that way. Plus the fact he's a beautiful kick is a huge bonus.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I would be setting the bar pretty high for both teams. Giants, if you want pick 3, we'd like pick 6 and an established best 22 player, Jeremy Finlayson would help the forward line out. Cats because you don't have a top 10 pick we'd like 14, 17 and a best 22 player, otherwise just take 3 to the draft grab Young or Serong and get a young gun who's going to play in 2020 and help the side out for the next decade.

Ben King
Personally and i know some would disagree strongly with this, but i would offer pick 3 and our 2020 first rounder if it would get us Ben King on a long term deal. I see him as being one of the better forwards around for 10 years, will make an impact right away and take a lot of pressure off Tommy and Sam.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Gee wiz he's a good player, any chance he heads back to Perth though? or are we thinking the Blues have got themselves together enough that he'll stick around?
-
The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Agreed, unless they were going to part with Harry McKay or Sam Walsh which is not going to happen i can't see what they have to offer
-
Are we done now?
Gut feel is we've got one more move in us, and it'll probably be a pick swap with pick 3
-
Josh Mahoney in the Media
Hopefully they ask him about the prospects of a pick split
-
Zac Fisher
He's a bit like Sam Frost, people see some amazing things he does and don't focus as much on what he can't do. he has some assets as a player that would appeal, but i'm not sure the overall package does, especially based on what it'd take to get him.
