I think assuming it's picks only. i'd be telling them if they can add a pick of 13 or better to add with 6 i'd do it. if we can get Weightman at 13 and say Ash and Stephens at 6 and 8 that'd be a good overall result.
-
Fortunately the guys who make these decisions don't do so based on highlight reels. Stephens is a good player though i'd also be happy with Flanders
-
I'd be speechless.
-
Nothing wrong with hitting the draft with pick 3 and 8. infact it's a great position. i'm sure GWS understand that and we're silly if we aren't demanding a best 22 player along with pick 6 for pick 3. we need a deal that improves our side for 2020 for this to be worth it.
-
No complaints for me. greatly increase our speed and class on the outside address small forward need re-enforce key targets forward build on young core add on field experience and leadership all major areas of list concern addressed is a success in anyones books. don't mind the idea of offering up the future second to the Crows for a last minute hail mary at Alex Keith potentially.
-
Agreed. for them it's potentially Serong and Green vs Green and no other pics. i can see exactly why they're so desperate to do that deal.
-
Interesting that none of the highly paid lawyers involved for years over the course of this saga managed to miss this somehow.
-
It's because he tries to kick when running at full speed under pressure. a very easy thing to address and fix up. if that's the worst problem he has he's in a very good position.
-
Rubbish. he's a good kick, shown great leadership, reads the play well and is consistent in his position. you should probably know what you're talking about before you plot players because you clearly have not seen him play.
-
Pick 3 to the Giants for Jeremy Finlayson and pick 6 Pick 8 to the Hawks for Issac Smith and pick 11 pick 6 we draft Lachie Ash and get some genuine speed pick 11 we draft Cody Weightman, small forward with genuine skills and x-factor overall a terrific trade period.
-
The entire discussion is based on who we want at pick 3. if our number one choice is likely to make it to 6 then anything else is a bonus. but that doesn't mean we shouldn't play hardball. I have a funny feeling we'd be keen on Serong over young, just because he can fill the small forward role and rotate through the midfield.
-
Would you consider pick 8 for Smith and 11. especially if the intention is to take Weightman with that pick so you're really getting Smith as a bonus.
-
Something i am glad about in a sense, we don't leak. hopefully it also means we are up to something
-
Anyone else get excited the moment you see chook in perth post anything? haha
-
One i'd be seriously looking at is Issac Smith. i think we really lack on field leadership, and he addresses a need as well
-
Pick 3 for pick 6 and a future pick is a horrible trade for us. i would be staggered if we actually made that trade. we have GWS bent over a barrel and desperate for that pick. we simply have to get a ready made best 22 player who can help us next year or take that pick to the draft.

Agreed. Serong/ Young at 3 Ash/Kemp/Weightman/Flanders at 8

I think the deal between Sydney and Carlton is done basically in principal. the Swans maybe just don't want to lose him if they can't get Daniher.
-
I had heard on trade radio a couple of times it seems Essendon think that's a fair asking price and i find that incredible. don't believe for a second we have any interest whatsoever in joe.
-
I don't understand how Sydney could even consider two first round picks for a guy who's not made it onto the ground in 2 years
-
The Giants deal for next years first rounder is not a great deal for us. it's likely a late first round pick in a heavily compromised draft, it's probably only worth a second rounder. Much better off demanding Finlayson or Caldwell and pick 6
-
I like it, we need the run but equally we need the experience and on field leadership. they can have their future second rounder back for him. or pick 8 for Smith and 11
-
The Giants 2020 first rounder may be say pick 15. in a heavily compromised draft it might only be worth a second rounder. i don't think i'd be doing that deal. i would be telling them we want a ready to go best 22 player and pick 6 for pick 3 and nothing else gets it done.
