  1. I watched a game of us playing against Essendon a few years back, when Goodwin was still the coach there, i think Roosys first year here? Anyways it was the same story as Goodwin here, Essendon dominated the stats, huge number of inside 50's with few scores and no real system besides bomb it long and hope someone marks it Essendon stats wise you'd think won by 80 points and they lost the game.
  2. He's giving away a bit of height on Cripps but Harmes definitely has Cripps with speed and endurance. it would be brave but Harmes could be used as an attacking option if he picks smart times to run off

Really highlights how important on field success is going to be over the next 5-6 years. some of that pain can be mitigated by extra revenue from deep finals pushes, especially this season if crowds do return for the latter part of the season. I feel like this puts Goodwin under the pump, if he's got a full list to pick from there really isn't much excuse for the team not to go pretty well
  4. Probably a bit bold but i'd go with Jetta May Petty Salem Lever Harmes Langdon Petracca Tommlinson Jones McDonald Melksham Fritsch Weideman Pickett Gawn Oliver Viney Brayshaw, Sparrow, Bedford, Hibberd
  5. The biggest thing about this guy is that he is going to take time, all we are going to see from him this year in my opinion is little flashes of brilliance and some not so good moments. 2-3 years time he could be just about anything but we have to give him a pass and let him develop

My guess would be Co captains - Jack Viney, Max Gawn Leadership group: Nev Jetta, Tom McDonald, Jake Lever, Jake Melksham

Minimum 10 wins with the fixture we have a consistent brand, week in, week out regardless of changes Improvement and development from players. pride and passion for the jumper every single week regardless of the result.

I'd say it's Co Captains, will be interesting to see how a fully fit Viney goes this year.
  9. Any of Robertson, Gould, Bianco, Taylor, Rivers, etc
  10. Shocked Robertson is still up for grabs
  11. Gold coast are building a nice midfield
  12. Surely Blues now go for Flanders?
  13. Carlton bid on Green.
  14. If we were going to split the pick we'd need to do it soon
  15. I'd be taking one of those three at 10 for sure. especially Flanders.
  16. Flanders still on the board. surely Carlton grab him?
  17. Cya in 2 years Hayden
  18. Stephens at 5 is a bit of a surprise Surely Flanders doesn't make it to 10 but if he does. Surely we grab him
  19. Gunna call it now, happy to be on record. we're nuts if we don't bid on Green with pick 3
  20. I wonder how mr Pruess is feeling about our likely recruitment of Mr Jackson.
  21. Can't help but feel this draft is make or break for us. if they get it right it could go a long way to breaking our premiership drought. if we get it wrong it is a massive wasted opportunity For me it all rests on Jacksons capacity as a forward. i think we're all comfortable he will be a good ruckman, but Max is going to hold that spot barring injury for a while yet.
  22. Don't think we can because we traded them 8

I've been told Carlton will 100% take Stephens if Freo don't. and the curve ball would be if the Crows picked him.
  24. Thinking he might be a Giants player come tomorrow and we will have another Green in the red and blue.

I think the Doggies might take Weightman the pick before that unfortunately. if they do i reckon we're a chance to get Kemp with that pick. otherwise i agree. would be rapt with Green. looks a ready made player and a star of the future.
