I agree, they wouldn't even think about it, but i also think we'd be silly not to ask

It would be interesting to see a list of assets from our end that would compliment pick 3 well enough to trade down to pick 6. I personally wouldn't mind (excluding superstars who we'd clearly want) Finlayson Williams Caldwell Hill 2020 first round pick Daniels

Splitting the pick all depends on if we'd get the same guy with 6 that we want with 3 or if they're close enough it's an advantage. i'm not sure Young will be there at 6 but Flanders or Ash are fair chances to be around the mark

Ian Hill wouldn't be too bad, bit of Zip. closer to Brad in Melbourne

Dougal Howard is a clear upgrade on Oscar McDonald though.

Yeah, every year there seems to be a player we don't go for and i can't work out why. this year it's Dougal Howard.

I wonder if we could convince them to give us pick 6 and Jeremy Finlayson for pick 3

Could we split with the Cats? 3 for 14, 17 and 24 so we'd go to the draft with 14, 17, 21, 24 and 30 potentially for Frost

imagine being fremantle and thinking Brad Hill is worth a top 5 pick and another first rounder but being absolutely certain Jesse Hogan isn't.
  10. I love his attitude, but i just think he's an unfortunately limited footballer at this stage. very happy to be proven wrong but not seen enough to suggest he's gunna make it at this stage.

More than happy to add Bruce to the forward line, can take a grab, average set shot. it'll be like Hogan is back
  12. They're paying overs to get guys in at the moment, 900k for Brad Hill is just one example of the insanity.
  13. Really surprised we didn't have a look at Howard from the Power surely an upgrade on Oscar down back?
  14. ask them if they'd be keen on pick 3 for Pick 11, Caldwell and Finlayson
  15. This one is a bit left field but i reckon the Pies will be desperate to trade a couple of non essential guys to free up Cap room for Grundy, De goey and Stephenson who are all OOC next year i wonder if we could get a couple of players for pick 3 and help their cap situation out.
  16. The Gaff rumour is a funny one because i'm pretty sure he and his manager have knocked it on the head but people keep mentioning it.
  17. Dazzle has got me sold on Hayden Young to be honest mate so i'm fairly happy with him, option B would be to send pick 3 to the Giants and try and get say Stephens at 11, Jeremy Sharp at 18 and Jye Caldwell as well, nice boost in depth.
  18. Josh Schache is kinda being pushed out at the dogs with Bruce coming over, they'll struggle to play all three, and is best mates with Clarry.

I still think we need to experience, run and kicking Smith provides, and if we must trade Sam Frost i don't mind the idea of trying to get Smith in return.
  20. Gus didn't have the best year in 2019 for a number of different reasons, 2018 we saw he's a very good young player with plenty of room still to grow so i'm backing him in. the statements made today kinda hinted imo, that the Dockers expressed some interest but Melbourne told them he wouldn't come cheap and the dockers didn't feel they could realisitcally enter a discussion based on the asking price, i don't believe Mahoney when he says the dockers aren't interested, the dockers know he's a very good young player, he's got family connections to this club and he's had an average year and may feel like he needs a change to get back to his best, so they'd be silly not to ask the question. at least i hope that's what the case is, that we would expect significant compensation if he was to leave. overwhelming preference is to keep him.
  21. God i hope so. Mitch Lewis from the Hawks would also be good.
  22. Papley definitely fills a need that we have, i just think the Swans are asking a bit much for him, and some of the money he's being offered by other teams apparently is pretty high as well.
  23. I wouldn't put too much stock in it mate, this time of year every these things are all over the place. just found it interesting that i heard that today and then read the post about a meeting requested by the Swans, seemed to line up.
  24. I've heard a rumour the Swans have some interest in Mitch Hannan, perhaps that's where this rumour comes from?
  25. Anything to help keep the little man syndrome at bay ET
