  1. Short list is Leppa, Primus, Neeld, Watters, Voss
  2. He is OOC and the Doggies are still hoping he'll stick around, there is some pretty strong interest from a few clubs, the one i keep hearing is Essendon
  3. Richmond now get the fun job of trying to find 5 quality assistant coaches, get them on the same page as Dimma and get them to build a rapport with the players in time for pre season, with the huge potential Dimma gets sacked half way through next year and they all get moved on anyways.
  4. He's extremely stiff not to get a nomination no doubt, but long term i don't think it matters, you can see already that he's going to be a huge part of the side going forward and i reckon he adds a real point of difference to the side, the forwards must love seeing him charging through the middle of the ground, but he's also super hard and committed at the contest, i am not sure if he will play most of his footy as a running defender or as a wingman, but i think he'll be in our best 10 players for the next decade! i couldn't be more excited to see what he and many others produce after another pre season under Goodwin and Macca
  5. Interesting so what are Collingwood going to give up to get him over the line considering they have no first round pick? it's tough to see them being able to get that deal over the line Carlton, Essendon and the Saints are better chances of getting a trade done
  6. I think one of the big differences is Roosy said a few times he felt we had a fair bit of talent that was either underperforming or not being developed, Trenners, Watts, Grimes ect I think the Lions have some Raw young talent that should be okay and some reasonable but injury prone senior players but i think their turn around might be a bit longer than ours.
  7. Absolutely! Jonothan Brown makes a fantastic point in on the couch this week about their list, they have 5 A graders who are a little older and probably won't be there for their next flag but it's hard to name a single young player on their list who looks any chance of being an A grade talent, and they're still looking like trading a pick 6 our for an injury prone Dion Prestia and second round pick out for an older Travis Cloke. the sooner they sack Dimma and decide to go down the path of a full re-build the better, because if they haven't done that in 2 years they'll be every bit as concerning as we were when Roosy joined and the Lions are now. The AFL can't just bail teams out for making horrible decisions all the time.
  8. None, it's a shocking decision, how can you sack the spear and re-contract the spear head, either they're all accountable or none are. sacking all 5 but retaining Dimma is a serious joke
  9. I find this baffling, how can you sack 5 assistant coaches but re-contract the senior coach? surely if anyone on the coaching panel is going to be accountable it's the Senior coach?
  10. The challenging thing with that is that the independant group wouldn't see the day to day growth of the players, i would suggest someone like Jayden Hunt would have been rated by an independant person the same was as Demonland rated him when clearly internally we knew we had our hands on a very good player. having said that i don't think the Tigers have that sort of talent or any capacity to develop it even if they did.
  11. Very good point, i saw some RIchmond stuff online so i just made the assumption
  12. I am assuming that was/is today? has anyone got any pictures or links or anything?
  13. There would have to be players wanting out as quick as possible, I see your point regarding the house visit, poor form all round, surely Leppa could have gone in to face the music if he knew it was coming
  14. and i reckon these sorts of calls would have been happening for a while, i reckon even if the decision to sack leppa wasn't 100% set in stone most clubs that are a little unsure where they're at would be seeing what's out there basically every year. For what it's worth i think David Noble or Simon Lloyd would be a good choice with a couple of really good development coaches.
  15. Carrying some niggles, i reckon after a break and a pre-season he should come back fit and firing, we can't afford to not have Vince so he is one of our few guys we'll play at 80%
  16. Only because he didn't go in to the club today, i reckon he knew it was xcoming.
  17. and we have the youngest and one of the most talented lists in the AFL, and some of the best development coaches in the AFL, it's foolish to think there isn't going to be significant growth from within regardless of who we bring in. I am super confident in our list for the first time in a bloody long time
  18. Dimma should be sacked but won't be. Not sure who the Lions are going to get but they need a bloody good coach. when does the "time to go Simon Goodwin" thread start?
  19. I reckon next year, if either Viney or Tyson can hold their best form for most of the year they'll get in there. both have played half seasons and that's probably going to be enough to get them top 10 B&F finishes for us.
  20. I think Vineys first half of the year was better than Tysons second half, which is the only reason i've gone that way with any luck next year they'll both be in that sort of form at the same time and we'll really be a dangerous side.
  21. I think these 5 have played their role the best and most consistently, Tom and Nathan have been a little more up and down and that might cost them
  22. Closest to the pin? i reckon... Enright Rance Mcgoven Shaw Tarrant Rampe Hannebry Dangerfield Shuey Rioli Franklin Martin Betts Kennedy(wce) Lynch(gc) Gawn Sloane Parker Selwood, Mitchell, Kennedy (syd) Bontempelli
  23. I don't hate this idea, Dawesy knows the game, he's a bloody smart guy, just not all that good a player, i reckon he'd be well worth a look as a development coach, though i suspect when he's done with footy he'll jump into his Law career pretty quickly
  24. 1. Max Gawn 2. Jack viney 3. Dom Tyson 4. Nev Jetta 5. Jack Watts 6,7,8 Jones, T'mac, Kent
  25. We've had no consistency in our leadership group, i reckon it'll stay mostly the same over the next 4-5 years and should improve out of sight in that time.
